Predictable, but no less disappointing for that.

Indeed. You can bet that almost no one approving this had actually read it. As with the story of the boys being mugged, males are ignored even if in the case of murder and violence in general they are by far the majority of victims. But simply badging almost anything as protecting women and girls is guaranteed to get support; specially from men. Hence the feminist tactic of labelling all sorts as “violence” from “unwanted compliments” to “withholding affection” to campaigning for men’s health! Rather as “misogyny” has replaced “sexism” as it has become increasingly understood males too are discriminated against because of their sex (like the story about the RAF). The convention’s solutions to this supposed scourge, such as ending the gender pay gap, more time off work for work life balance, quotas for all sorts of occupations, privileges in child contact, abitrary “orders” used against men with no evidence and just the sort of discrimination against men shown in the RAF story, the case of John Allan and the Civil servant asked to exclude white men from Police recruitment. All unlikely to affect the incidence of actual violence in any way, except maybe to stoke resentment from boys and men at their unfair treatment.
