Girlfriend, 30, places her boyfriend on a ‘performance improvement plan’ to improve their relationship – and compares the controversial tactic to HR in a workplace

Our thanks to Gerry for this. He writes:

Imagine the froth spewing hysterics of the intellectual class if a mainstream news peddler published an article about a man putting his girlfriend on a performance improvement plan.

  1. Actually having read it the reality makes some sort of sense and has its advantages, I can see why her engineer boyfriend likes it. For it appears to be direct and straightforward without all the nagging and emotional blackmail and guesswork that is the stock in trade for girlfriends and wives. Also set times for sharing and a structure for it. I’m sure most men would agree the usual experience is they have to listen to streams of monologues with actually scant opportunity to talk about what is important to them! In fact it seems this man probably does get a better deal than most.
