Interesting. We’ve posted many stories of women convicted of drink driving, often after injuring people gravely, and almost invariably receiving suspended sentences, unlike men in the same situation. The police must feel – understandably – that stopping, arresting and charging women for drink driving (and so much else) is an exercise in utter futility. Have they simply given up doing so? What else could explain the fact that all the 23 drivers in this story are men?
