I doubt she’ll even serve the one year sentence. Not much punishment for stealing £100,000 worth of goods from your employer, is it? As always, an excuse is made for female criminals – in this case, a “gambling addiction”. The “justice” system seems to work on the basis that woman must bear little or no personal responsibility for their actions – unlike men.
