Appalling. The feminisation of the NHS and ambulance services over decades has cost many lives, and continues to do so. I don’t know of a profession where feminisation hasn’t led to reduced efficiency, effectiveness, and higher costs (usually to the taxpayer). Other obvious examples include teaching and policing. This should come as no surprise to anyone. After all, we know from Dr Catherine Hakim’s Preference Theory (2000) that while four in seven British men are work-centred, only one in seven British women is.
