Interesting. Sadly MRA in this context means not “Men’s Rights Activist” but “Minimum Retirement Age”, in relation to judges and magistrates in this case. And why is it necessary to raise their MRA in an era of historically low crime levels? Exactly the same reason that we’ve poached doctors from poor countries which can ill afford to lose them, for the past 50+ years. The legal profession has been feminised just like the medical profession, so capacity (and much else, including quality) has crashed as women refuse to work the long hours men have historically been prepared to, and many still are.
