Alexandra Topping, lying Guardian journalist: “Almost all young women in the UK have been sexually harassed, survey finds”

Our thanks to Nicholas for the following email, copied in full with his permission. It was of course predictable that in an article with feminist lies, Laura Bates – twice a “Lying Feminist of the Month” award winner, and Guardian contributor – would seek to exploit Ms Topping’s lies for her own ends.

Hi Mike,

Sadly, I write to express my displeasure at reading the headline “Almost all young women in the UK have been sexually harassed, survey finds” (which I originally found on RT.com).

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/mar/10/almost-all-young-women-in-the-uk-have-been-sexually-harassed-survey-finds

Apparently, 97% of women aged 18-24 had been sexually harassed, according to the “professional journalists” at Teh Grauniad. No links are given to the research they apparently cite.

I’m always wary of such unbelievable statistics, so I dug into it. It comes from YouGov.co.uk, and I found their article here: https://yougov.co.uk/topics/relationships/articles-reports/2021/03/08/eurotrack-two-thirds-women-sweden-and-half-britain

The article DOES NOT claim anything of the sort, and luckily they included their source document as a link at the end, found ere: https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/qepiqi9xaf/YouGov%20Sexual%20harassment.pdf

… which only mentions 97% twice in the context of UK women – 1) IF a man you didn’t know were to expose his genitalia to you, would you consider that inappropriate? 97% YES, and 2) IF a man were to try to take a picture up your skirt, would you consider that inappropriate? 97% YES.

Kind regards,

Nicholas Scott
