6oodfella: A harrowing (and hilarious) tale of an all-female workplace

A piece published on this website in July 2015, recently re-published on my Laughing at Feminists website, here.

Jerry Hayes, barrister, former Tory MP: Dame Vera Baird, Victims’ Commissioner, former Labour MP, is a “menace to justice”.

Jerry Hayes was the prosecuting counsel in the infamous Liam Allan case (multiple false rape allegations). Our thanks to Jeff for this.

Downing Street plans rape prosecution targets for police and CPS

Our thanks to Dick for this piece in The Guardian. It’s a scandalous intervention by the government. The criminal justice system can increase the number of rape prosecutions, or the percentage conviction rate, but not both simultaneously without even further weakening the presumed innocence of alleged rapists – which is of course precisely what feminists want. They’ve repeatedly and publicly called for the elimination of juries in rape trials, and for judges of rape cases to receive special “training” (translation – feminist indoctrination).

Sleeping with Emma – 25% discount

For some months I’ve been sleeping as soundly as I ever have, thanks to an award-winning “Emma” mattress and pillow. I simply cannot imagine how the mattress or pillow could be improved upon, and their “money back if not fully satisfied” guarantee is very fair (200 nights!)

The manufacturer is offering a 25% discount on both their mattresses and pillows until midnight tonight (BST) – here – but you may get similar prices and quicker delivery with Amazon.

Hope not Hate report (2020)

Hope not Hate is a well-funded extreme left-wing pressure group which – reassuringly – hates J4MB. They’ve mentioned us in their recent annual reports, invariably mis-representing both ourselves and the broader manosphere. My thanks to Elizabeth for pointing me to this year’s gem, we believe it was published in February, STATE OF HATE 2020: FAR RIGHT TERROR GOES GLOBAL. There’s some nonsense about the manosphere and J4MB on pp.102/3, starting with this by Simon Murdoch:

It has long been the case that far-right movements have held sexist, misogynist and anti-feminist views. Yet, in a pronounced way, for elements of the contemporary far right these ideas are not merely a result of their wider political outlook, but rather the central pillar of their ideology (in some cases alongside
disavowals of other bigotries).

One influence on the contemporary far right’s understanding of gender politics is the “manosphere”: a loose collection of websites, forums, blogs and vlogs
concerned with men’s issues and masculinity, oriented around an opposition to feminism and, within parts, the embrace of extreme misogyny.

The prevailing interpretation within the manosphere is that feminism is about promoting misandry (contempt or prejudice of men), rather than gender equality. [J4MB: No shit, Sherlock.]

There’s some nonsense from Owen Jones (what are the chances?) on “Manosphere in the Classroom”, pp.104/5. Enjoy.

International Conference on Men’s Issues (2020) – website and promotional video, your invitation to be a speaker

We’re very pleased to announce details of ICMI20, a virtual conference. We plan to publish 120 videos between midday 14 November and midday 19 November (International Men’s Day), Sydney time, because the event was planned for Sydney before the COVID-19 pandemic. The videos will be launched on the hour, every hour.

The conference website is here. The confirmed speaker list is here and we’ll be updating it weekly between now and the conference.

Tom Caulfield, our Technical Director, has created a wonderful promotional video (20:11). Don’t miss it.

ICMI20 has two key innovations, in addition to featuring the largest number of speakers of any event in the series. It’s the first “virtual” ICMI, and the first ICMI in which we’re inviting people with an interest in gender matters (other than feminists, obviously) to submit videos. More details of that opportunity here, you’ll need to provide us with some initial details no later than 31 August, little more than three weeks from now. We look forward to hearing from you.

Regarding Men – an exciting new initiative

Enjoy (video, 30:11). Regarding Men – Paul Elam, Tom Golden and Janice Fiamengo – have over the past year been planning an exciting new initiative, where red-pilled men can meet up online for discussions with other red-pilled men around the world. Check out the video, I would encourage you to join the initiative. I’ll be hosting 90-minute-long weekly Zoom meetings as part of the initiative, Elizabeth and I plan to have Paul Elam on Gender Matters soon to talk about it.

From the Regarding Men website:

Paul Elam, Janice Fiamengo, and Tom Golden have joined forces to create a platform to connect Red Pill men and provide them ongoing social support.  We want to use the dilemma of Red Pill Isolation by connecting like-minded men to each other, online and in the real world. Regarding Men is a place for men to speak truthfully about their lived experience and get support, without having to care about blue pill sensitivities. Join us now and let’s grow this thing together.

We are making the meetings and other services available to Red Pill men across the world 7 days a week, 365 days a year. That is what your support is going to help us build.
