Gov. Gen. Payette has created a toxic climate of harassment and verbal abuse at Rideau Hall, sources allege

Our thanks to Greg for this story.

Trudeau appointed Governor General Julie Payette is everything feminists could possibly want in a woman – engineer, astronaut and now occupying a high profile political role.

Less than a month into her position (a largely ceremonial role intended to carry out responsibilities on behalf of the Queen and to unify Canada), she used a speech to mock climate change sceptics and people of faith.

Now, it emerges that as a boss she is abusive in the extreme, repeatedly leaving employees in tears and losing members of staff to resignation one after another. The incredible CBC report detailing what’s been going on is well worth reading.

Perhaps it will comfort Payette’s harassed employees to recall the dominant feminist narrative on women leaders, as espoused by Michelle P. King at CNN:

What people need now are leaders with empathy, compassion and an ability to show support — skills that women leaders tend to exhibit more than men.“

Women do indeed tend to score higher on Baron-Cohen’s Empathy Quotient test. Perhaps Payette would score remarkably low for a woman (she is a remarkable woman, after all) but perhaps not – perhaps it’s her very feminine skills that enable her instinctively to emotionally torture her staff.

If everyone who read this gave us £5.00 – or even better, £5.00 or more, monthly – we could change the world. £5.00 monthly would entitle you to Bronze party membership, details here. Benefits include a dedicated and signed book by Mike Buchanan. Click below to make a difference. Thanks.

Regular followers of this website are aware that neither Elizabeth Hobson, party leader, nor Mike Buchanan, party chairman, draw any income from the party’s income streams. They both work very long hours on behalf of men and boys (and the women who love them) so they’re unable to engage in paid employment.

We appeal to those who appreciate our work for financial support to help us meet our living expenses. We’ve set up Patreon pages for this purpose. Elizabeth’s page is here, Mike’s page is here. Thank you for your support.

Steve Moxon: How and why partner violence is normal female behaviour but aberrational male behaviour

I shall always be grateful to Steve Moxon for writing one of a small number of books which set me on the path I remain on today – The Woman Racket: The new science explaining how the sexes relate at work, at play and in society (2008).

He’s just had an interesting new paper published in New Male Studies, “How and why partner violence is normal female behaviour but aberrational male behaviour”. The PDF is here, the link to the NMS website here.

The connection between Marc Angelucci and Roy Den Hollander

A piece on CNN. The start of the piece about Roy Den Hollander, an anti-feminist lawyer:

On his website, Roy Den Hollander described himself as an “anti-feminist” lawyer who defended “men’s rights.” His personal writings and life’s work reveal a toxic stew of sexist and racist bigotry.

He had unsuccessfully filed lawsuits against bars and night clubs offering “ladies’ nights,” claiming they violate the 14th Amendment, and he filed suits against the federal government, challenging the constitutionality of its Violence Against Women Act — the “Female Fraud Act,” as he referred to it — and against Columbia University, for its Women’s Studies program.

Federal authorities on Monday said Den Hollander is suspected of shooting the husband and son of US District Judge Esther Salas at her North Brunswick, New Jersey.

The FBI called Den Hollander the “primary subject,” and said he is dead. Two law enforcement sources told CNN that the suspect died of what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Green Party deputy leadership contenders flummoxed by the question, “What is a woman?”

A tip of the hat to Guido Fawkes for this. All four contenders appear to be blithering idiots, but Amelia Womack is the worst of a bad bunch, responding to the question, “What is a woman?” with this:

“I don’t think we can talk about this in binary choices it’s more complex than that. As a proud feminist my feminism has always been intersectional. I am very proud of the trans women who I work with whose experiences have strengthened parts of our movement and ensure that we’re challenging the bigger issues at hand and that is the patriarchal systems that oppress all women.”

New push to rename body parts like the Adam’s apple and Achilles’ tendon because they are ‘irrelevant and misogynistic’ (Dr Kristin Small is a blithering idiot).

Our thanks to Geoff for this piece, which I shall also be posting shortly on Laughing at Feminists. The start:

Australian doctors are calling for people to stop using terms named after ‘men, kings and gods’ to describe body parts – such as Adam’s apple and Achilles heel.

Queensland specialist obstetrician, gynaecologist and anatomy lecturer, Dr Kristin Small, teaches students to phase out irrelevant and misogynistic medical language.

She believes the terms represent older generations and is pushing to use more practical and descriptive terms for body parts.

‘I think we have a personal choice to decolonise our language and these historical terms will fade out,’ Dr Small told the Courier Mail.

Dr Small said she makes sure her students still know eponyms for exam purposes and says there are always alternatives for the ‘dead man’s name’.

Women are strong! Women are amazing!! Women are as tall as men!!!

On BBC News at Ten last night, there were excerpts from Boris Johnson’s Covid-19 press conference earlier in the day. The ITV News file is here (video).

I almost choked on my chilled Evian water (ice and a slice of lime) when I spotted that the woman also in the press conference, Dido, was standing on a plinth – play the video from 18:07, she appears a few seconds later. The only possible explanation, I think, was to make her look as tall as the prime minister. Women’s emotional neediness knows no bounds.

I imagine Dido will be pleased to return to her singing career once the pandemic is over.
