Men “to blame for the menopause” (June 2013)

A piece published on this website in June 2013, recently re-published on my Laughing at Feminists website, here.

If everyone who read this gave us £5.00 – or even better, £5.00 or more, monthly – we could change the world. £5.00 monthly would entitle you to Bronze party membership, details here. Benefits include a dedicated and signed book by Mike Buchanan. Click below to make a difference. Thanks.

Regular followers of this website are aware that neither Elizabeth Hobson, party leader, nor Mike Buchanan, party chairman, draw any income from the party’s income streams. They both work very long hours on behalf of men and boys (and the women who love them) so they’re unable to engage in paid employment.

We appeal to those who appreciate our work for financial support to help us meet our living expenses. We’ve set up Patreon pages for this purpose. Elizabeth’s page is here, Mike’s page is here. Thank you for your support.

A few words about Sarah Olney

Sarah Olney, the Liberal Democrat MP for Richmond Park, for some reason thought it appropriate today to take to Twitter to claim that Rishi Sunak’s budget was too “focussed on male-dominated sectors” such as construction.

However, as is customary for those with any kind of left-leaning bias, she leaves on her feminist blinkers, and whilst acknowledging that the hospitality sector has today enjoyed a VAT cut, this sector employs a huge number of women.

And at a time when money should be spent wisely in order get the economy moving again, she suggest that there should be “measures” to engage more women in male-dominated industries. The last thing needed now surely is more money wasted on trying to correct a problem that is basically a non-problem?

Perhaps Sarah should set all of us an example by becoming a bricklayer, a roofer or unblocking some drains?  Or maybe she prefers being in a nice air conditioned office talking rubbish.

Perhaps she think it’s good to continue the work of the former leader of her party, the notorious feminist Jo Swinson, someone who started the 2019 General Election campaign thinking that she would become Prime Minister, but ended it losing her seat to the SNP.

Unfortunately, the country can’t quite forget Jo Swinson because it is thanks to her that companies have to spend time and money collating and then submitting useless Gender Pay Gap reporting every year. Fortunately, for this year, said reporting has been suspended.

Perhaps there’s an opportunity for this majority Conservative government can quietly kill it off for good?

“Upward-thrusting buildings ejaculating into the sky”

New classic Guardian article by Leslie Kern (author of the new book ‘Feminist City’) proves yet again that feminism ruins everything, including geography.

She’d have “happily written a grad school essay about this then turned my attention to more pressing matters”, had “the sexism of the city ended with architectural symbolism” – but, apparently, women city-dwellers specifically have to worry about their safety when jogging at night… I hate to agree with Germaine Greer but she was right when writing in ‘On Rape’ that “It is a nonsense for our daughters to be more frightened of penises than our sons are of guns or knives.” In 2019/20 there were approximately 7.89 thousand rape offences recorded by the Metropolitan Police in London. In 2019/20 the number of knife crime offences recorded in London reached almost 15.6 thousand. Neither rape, nor knife crime are entirely gender-specific crimes, of course – though I suspect that concerns over personal vulnerability to such crimes probably are more gender-specific… But the city is not a space where anyone can waltz along carefree assuming they cannot be victimised because they were lucky enough to be born a certain sex and the propagation of the myth that men can and do can only breed resentment.

For the record, this Wikipedia page ‘List of tallest buildings designed by women’ is a handy reference for women-architects who clearly suffer internalised misogyny. J4MB salutes them!

David Cameron publicly criticises a woman! Hold the front page!!! (March 2013)

J4MB was launched in 2013. I was the party’s leader from then until 26 May, 2020, when Elizabeth Hobson (our former Director of Communications) took over, and I became the chairman. This has freed up a little time, some of which I’m using to develop my new website Laughing at Feminists (it’s a civic duty).

So far I’ve mirrored many humorous blog posts from the J4MB website from March 2013 to August 2018. My thanks to Elizabeth for agreeing to my suggestion that I post on this website a daily link to my new website, with one humorous blog post for each month of the existence of J4MB. This is from March 2013:
