A ‘psycho’ mother who glassed her boyfriend in a pub and severed his earlobe has been spared jail.

Sophie Ellis, 29, twice smashed a pint glass over the head of Jamie Marshman while he stood at the crowded bar in the Saracen’s Head pub in The Tything, Worcester.

The mother-of-one from Warndon Villages, Worcester, was given a suspended sentence at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday…

James Burbidge QC, the Recorder of Worcester, said that Ellis claimed Mr Marshman was ‘a coercive and controlling individual’ but added: ‘This is not a court of moral judgement.’…

The defendant could be seen crying and dabbing her eyes with a tissue before she walked free from court.
