Welcome news. At last, some common sense on gender matters from the Conservatives. Long overdue.

Laura Bates: Men Who Hate Women

Our thanks to Mike P for this. Laura Bates is the blithering idiot we usually refer to as “Special Snowflake”, who runs the Everyday Whining Project (she calls it the Everyday Sexism Project). A week or two after launching J4MB in 2013, she and I were interviewed by Jeremy Vine, whose BBC Radio 2 show attracts 7+ million listeners. That interview is here (18:25). Vine asked her at one point if she was reading off a piece of paper, which she denied, but of course she was. After the interview, when we were off air, Bates pointedly and loudly (so Vine could hear her) asked me not to send her any more “threatening” emails. She was referring to emails I’d sent her explaining our thoughts  on men’s issues and feminism, and of course there was nothing even remotely threatening about them. She stamped her feet and marched imperiously out of the studio. It was like watching a huffy 10-year-old girl in a strop. Vine looked at me, utterly bemused. I’ve never been on the show again, while I’m told she has been, frequently.

A winner of Whiny Feminist of the Month and Lying Feminist of the Month awards, as well as being the inaugural member of The Whine Club, Ms Bates – she’s married, the poor man must be calling The Samaritans every day – is the clearest example I know of a women who’s failed to transition from a girl to a woman. I have little doubt she has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and of course she’s a magnet for whiny women everywhere, and the mainstream media. She’s made a career out of being miserable and whiny. I expect her parents were very indulgent towards her silliness.

“Men Who Hate Women”. Ha. I don’t hate women, I don’t even hate Laura Bloody-Bates, but I do find she and other pathetic child-women without moral agency, almost all of them feminists, utterly loathsome.

Men’s rights activist (Philipp Tanzer) insists he ‘doesn’t believe’ statistics showing women are more likely to be victims of domestic abuse – even though his own mother was shot dead by her husband

A piece published yesterday by Mail Online. I left the following, just short of the maximum permitted character count:

My book “Feminism: The Ugly Truth” is described bizarrely as a leaflet under a photo of its cover.

The BBC3 programme was a predictable feminist hit piece. My blog piece on it:

https://atomic-temporary-215937230.wpcomstaging.com/2020/04/22/philipp-tanzer-i-am-a-mens-rights-activist-bbc3-documentary-on-youtube/

It has been known for DECADES that women are at least as violent as men in terms of domestic violence. A woman is much more likely to be assaulted by a female partner than a male one.

Our video and audio playlist on domestic abuse:

It includes a video of a presentation on domestic abuse by Professor Don Duttton at the last International Conference on Men’s Issues http://icmi2019.icmi.info.

If you want to learn the truth about gender matters, feminism etc., buy William Collins’s “The Empathy Gap” (2019).

Steven Svoboda’s review of Herbert Purdy’s “Their Angry Creed”

In 2016 my modest publishing concern LPS Publishing published Herbert Purdy’s excellent book Their Angry Creed. It was published just before ICMI16 where Herbert gave a well-received talk, here (36:57). He signed copies of his book at the event.

Steven Svoboda is an American lawyer and a prominent campaigner against MGM. He’s just written a comprehensive review of Purdy’s book, here.

You can order paperback and e-book editions of the book from Amazon and other online retailers. LPS Publishing makes no money from the sale of the book, likewise the books by other authors it represents. Which is a Purdy good deal for authors, I think we can all all agree.

Philipp Tanzer: “I am a men’s rights activist” (BBC3 documentary on YouTube)

Just published (video, 24:22). I could spend an hour critiquing this piece of feminist propaganda, which says close to nothing on men’s issues, but I have too much on my plate. I think Philipp Tanzer did a great job under impossible circumstances. Listen out for the use of low-volume discordant audio tracks to imply something is amiss / dangerous. A common BBC ploy whenever men’s issues are being presented on screen.

I strongly urge you to post comments on YouTube. The “BBC Stories” channel has 300,000+ subscribers.

Philipp’s take on the programme is far more positive than mine, this is a statement from him:

Dear fellow mens rights activists and supporters.

Last year I was interviewed for over a week by the BBC. I agreed to that hoping to be able to represent our movement in a positive and realistic way. I am by no means the most eloquent MRA and my ability to remember data and facts is unfortunately substandard to most MRAs. The reason I thought I might be a good voice for our movement is, among other things, that I don’t fit into the angry STRAIGHT white male category and I hold very little anger in my heart. Any resentment (no matter how justified would have been used against us, I believe)

The reporter Alvaro, who was in charge of this project became a friend over the course of the filming process and he was very worried that I would not feel fairly treated in the documentary and he tried his best to be fair to me and our  movement even though he is definitely blue-pilled.

I think he did a very good job, as balanced as it is possible for a mainstream documentary. Mens issues were highlighted many times and were highlighted as “legitimate”, not just by Alvaro, but even by the feminist who was interviewed. Even her views seemed relatively balanced (for a feminist) if you ask me.

I do apologize for not being better prepared when asked about Domestic Violence statistics and I apologize for saying that most attendees of the conference are/were “broken”. First of all, I believe that to be true and I wanted to “humanize” us and show that we all carry pain in us that made us fight against injustice.

I already complained towards Alvaro how Carl Benjamin/Sargon of Akkad was depicted but I think Carl was used as a “sacrificial lamb” on the altar of BBC orthodoxy.

When you watch the documentary, please be aware that Alvaro only had limited time and he had to condense a week of footage into 24 minutes. Be also aware that this could have been a nasty hit piece. Both Alvaro and I are very interested in your opinions and there will maybe even be a Q&A between me and Alvaro, where I can read to him, what MRAs/people liked about the documentary and what we didn’t like.

So please feel free to send me your reactions.

I hope I did a relatively good you representing the Mens Rights Movement.

The BBC has, as we all know a left leaning bias and MRAs have always suffered under this bias. By producing a balanced documentary on a Mens Rights Activist, I am sure Alvaro will get attacked from all sides. Some of us will attack him for challenging our narrative and having a certain anti-MRA bias, others with attack him for treating me/us surprisingly fairly. Let’s be thankful for a step in the right direction and let’s keep this door cautiously open. Alvaro is open to criticism, but I am sure he would appreciate positive feedback too.
