Whiskey and Whack-Off Gear | Live From The Lair

A piece (video, 17:17) published two days before last Xmas Day by the legendary Terrence Popp (Redonkulas). Enjoy.

Bettina Arndt update

Just received:

Hi Everybody,

Now this is bound to make you smile. I’ve been awarded an AM in today’s Australia Day Honours list, which is a real thrill.

But take a look at my citation:

for “significant service to the community as a social commentator, and to gender equity through advocacy for men.”

Isn’t that marvellous?

As you can imagine, this is causing a bit of a stir. A press release with some of the interesting awards was released to the media a few days ago so they could organise coverage prior to the big day and whilst I’ve done some great interviews with Sky News, The Australian, Seven News etc, there’s naturally been a deadly silence from the ABC and some tricky conversations with Nine newspapers and The Guardian. I’ll be fascinated to see how they turn out, but it is very obvious some will use the occasion to take pot-shots at me. Turns out Nina Funnell and colleagues at New Matilda, have been working for two years on a hit piece about me, due to come out any time. Should be a lively few days!

Please send through any interesting commentary you notice in your local media. Someone I know is putting together a video on how this all pans out.

Anyway, I think it is all pretty exciting and I’m very grateful to whoever it was who made the effort to nominate me.

Just for fun we’re playing with the idea of producing some coffee cups, keep cups or drink bottles which feature my citation – which would also to help spread the word about what I am trying to do. See image above and attached.  Please give me a yell if you’d be interested in purchasing this sort of merchandise – it would be useful to know if this is worth doing. A big thank you to the design team who produced the graphics for me and also updated my Facebook and other social media art.

We’ve also put together a little video, based around the welcome video we originally made for thinkspot – here.

I thought this might be good to have out there, telling people about the honour and explaining my work to people who don’t know me. Please help me spread the word. It’s only 90 seconds long – perfect for social media.

Kangaroo Court campaign

I see all this as a great opportunity for me to recruit more people to help with my current campaign to close down the illegal campus kangaroo courts. We are receiving very interesting responses from various universities and I have lawyers helping formulate appropriate replies. Please remember to send me any interesting answers you receive. We will be compiling a dossier of how the different universities are dealing with all this.

For anyone who needs convincing about the dangers of our campus kangaroo courts, have a look at this horrific case, where Columbia University is current being sued for hanging a young man out to dry, after deliberately ignoring evidence which would have exposed a false rape accusation. This one is a doozy. But young men are facing similar treatment on our own campuses

Well, that’s it for now.  Enjoy your Australia Day weekend. Mine promises to be very special indeed.

Cheers, Tina

I’ve been invited onto the programme twice but was unable to make it to the London studio, and the producer declined to have me interviewed online.

Battle of Ideas, 2019. From Peterson to Incels: is there a generation of ‘lost boys’?

A tip of the hat to Elizabeth Hobson, our estimable Director of Communications, for her contributions to this (video, 1:11:00). She’s introduced at 1:13, her introduction to the session (2:04 – 7:19) was very well-received, as I know, having been in the audience. I can’t recall any hostility being displayed to her at any point during the session, and she was wearing a T-shirt bearing the text, “This is what an anti-feminist looks like”, one of many designs available to order from the J4MB clothing store. Elizabeth’s shirt is available to order here. I wore a polo shirt bearing the same text, both Elizabeth and I were struck at the positive responses we got to the shirts, in marked contrast to some of the responses at the Battle of Ideas in 2018.

The tide is turning…

Two more videos from ManWomanMyth

ManWomanMyth (MWM) was a legendary British vlogger, who published very high-quality videos on his YouTube channel over many years until 2015, since when he hasn’t published any such material. His YouTube channel disappeared in 2015, but thanks to many people who’d downloaded his videos, we now have a playlist of 117 of his videos, here. His work was highly influential to MRAs globally, including myself. I doubt that I’d ever have become a full-time MRA without learning so much from his extraordinary body of work about feminism, gender issues etc.

At some point in 2014 he started a new video channel, “Humanity Bites”, and started posting videos in which he personally appeared for the first time. The channel disappeared at the same time as his main one, and over the past few years we’ve made many attempts to find the videos, including public appeals, with no success. Until today.

Whilst on YouTube today I searched using the term “Humanity Bites”, hoping for some new channels. Nothing. Then it occurred to me – I don’t know why – to leave the space out, and searched “HumanityBites”. Kerching! This led me to HumanityBites Mirror, a channel with two videos published by MWM in 2014 – Bring Back Our Girls (4:40) and On White Sprinters & Female CEOs (22:51).

I appear a number of times in the second video. MWM drove from his home in London to my home in Bedford to interview me. At the end of the video the text states the interviews (Erin Pizzey and Steve Moxon in addition to myself) were recorded over 2011/12, although in the video he shows me as the leader of J4MB, which I launched in 2013. He must have stored the interviews of Erin, Steve, and myself, for two or three years before finalising the video.

So our MWM channel now contains 119 videos.

The ‘tradwife’ movement leading the backlash against feminism: Submitting to your husband like it’s the ’50s is the new trend sweeping UK households (and you can even do a training course in ‘perfect femininity’)

Our thanks to Terrence for this piece posted by Mail Online four days ago.

How Top Gear overcame its ‘problem phase’

Our thanks to Groan for this. He writes:

Of course the BBC isn’t going to admit it but returning to three blokes having fun and games with cars has boosted ratings. I’m surprised there haven’t been pussy hat protests as the three take risks, horse around, smash, crash and bash things. The past female presenter doesn’t even get a mention, I presume to airbrush out the failure. Very much an example of the gap between the “woke” must have a woman and the public’s taste in entertainment. To me a good argument to “disestablish” the BBC and let viewer demand drive its income. Then there may be much less preaching except in programmes that are clear that’s what they are doing. Of course this won’t rid the BBC of what John Humphrys calls an inbuilt cultural bias but at least it means it doesn’t infect all its output and a special tax isn’t paid for it.
