Just published. Links to all our blog pieces in relation to Elizabeth Hobson and I giving talks at Cambridge University are here. I’m really looking forward to the two letters of “apology”. They will surely be hilarious.

Harriet Harman to run for Commons Speaker

Mad Hattie – Lying Feminist of the Month (January 2017) – is among the bookies’ favourites to replace John Bercow as Speaker of the House of Commons. What could possibly go wrong, if she takes up the post? Will Persons of Penis be allowed to contribute fairly to debates on gender-related matters, or will those debates be dominated by Persons of Vagina? Yes, that’s a rhetorical question.

Our thanks to Mike P for this piece on the BBC website. An extract:

Ms Harman – who is known for her campaigning on women’s rights – [J4MB: … and absolutely NOTHING else in her 37 years as an MP… other than the Paedophile Information Exchange scandal, anyway…] said the next Speaker must be “scrupulously neutral” on debates, and praised Mr Bercow.

She told Today: “This is a Parliament in very difficult times. We have got very divided times in the country and Parliament itself is divided.

“I think what Parliament has to do, and the Speaker has to do, is to ensure that Parliament can have its say… and that is what John Bercow has sought to do.”

IS ‘TOXIC MASCULINITY’ DANGEROUS IN THE ACADEMY?

On the 14th November, at The Brunswick Inn in Derby, I will be speaking at a Battle of Ideas satellite event called “Is ‘toxic masculinity’ dangerous in the academy?’.

I will present a twenty minute opening statement, followed by an in depth discussion with Dr Nicholas Joseph, Dr Vanessa Pupavac and the audience.

Please do come and offer some moral support if you are willing and able!

My thanks to Dennis Hayes of Academics for Academic Freedom for organising the event.

Prostate Health Month

Our thanks to Douglas for letting us know that September is Prostate Health Month.

Each year, more than 11,000 men die of prostate cancer – that’s one man dying every 45 minutes. And there are over 400,000 men living with and after the disease in the UK today.

Find more information at Prostate Cancer UK.

‘Don’t call me a feminist’ says 84-year-old Suffragette

An old article from The Plymouth Herald, but interesting. Antonia Raeburn actually wasn’t a Suffragette (as the most eagle eyed may have deduced from her age), but is a keen historian on the movement who interviewed many Suffragettes and published two books on their activism. Her views on the second wave and modern feminism are certainly reasonable!

Bill Burr – the antidote to Julie Bindel

I’ve subscribed to The Spectator for years, but despair of it in the area of gender politics, where it gives relentless exposure to feminists – Julie Burchill and Sarah Ditum have pieces in the latest edition – while giving precisely zero exposure to people critical of feminism, and willing to expose feminists for the evil hate-driven liars they are. Julie Bindel, Toxic Feminist of the Month (October 2015) has a piece on domestic abuse on the website, published today. I won’t waste your time linking to it, because it’s just another small variant on the pile of stinking BS she always vomits out.

Needing some light relief after making the mistake of reading Bindel’s anti-male rant, I turned to Netflix, my favourite source of quality comedy. I was pleased to see a Netflix special (1:06:00) of one of my favourite American comedians, Bill Burr, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year.  Its title is “Paper Tiger”. Burr criticises feminists, #MeToo, and along the way covers issues including double standards in sexual assaults, #MeToo, Michelle Obama, male feminists, marriage, anger issues, conversations with his (black) wife, Stephen Hawking, sex dolls, fatherhood… you know, the usual stuff. It’s a comedy tour de force. Catch it if you can. It was quite the antidote to Julie Bindel’s latest garbage.
