Lambeth Council are operating a financial redress scheme for all children who were either abused or feared being abused while staying at a Lambeth Children’s Home or Shirley Oaks Primary School. Although men are commonly overlooked in terms of emotional and mental harm, anyone of either sex is encouraged to make a claim. Thousands of claims are expected.

The scheme is open to the end of this year but delay should be avoided.

If you suffered abuse at another children’s home, your could get redress but this would likely have to be done through the courts or by involving a solicitor.
