Please support the filming of presentations at the Chicago conference

The fifth International Conference on Men’s Issues will take place in Chicago over August 16-18. The conference website is here. We confidently expect it will be be the best conference in the series to date.

A British videographer, Anthony J Corniche III, has recorded and edited the presentations at the last three conferences, and the playlists are here:

2016 – London
2017 – Gold Coast, Australia
2018 – London

Anthony has not charged for his time and expertise, but he should not be left out of pocket for his efforts. So we urge you strongly to contribute what you can to his new fundraiser to raise £1,500 towards his costs of attending the Chicago conference, and transporting a good deal of equipment there. Depending on the size of your donation, you can ask for your name to appear in the video credits. Details at the bottom of the appeal. Thank you.

ManWomanMyth: “Truth, Lies, and the War on Men” – the complete video collection?

ManWomanMyth (MWM) was a highly influential British vlogger who published well over 100 videos on his YouTube channel during the 10+ years leading up to 2015, when the channel was taken down. MWM is no longer active, sadly, but we know he’s pleased his work remains valued by MRAs worldwide. Fortunately some MRAs had taken copies of the content before the channel was taken down, which is why they remain available on YouTube and elsewhere to this day.

Individual “mirrors” usually contain some videos which have been pulled for alleged copyright infringements, and none of them have contained all of the output of MWM. The most comprehensive developed to date is (we believe) this, but it excludes five important videos on “misandry and intimacy”. The original posted videos attracted huge numbers of views, the re-posted videos fewer. They deserve many more.

We recently set ourselves the task of putting into a new J4MB playlist all the known output of MWM, and that playlist (114 videos) is here. Most of the videos were drawn from the aforementioned “mirror”. If you know of any videos we’ve missed, please let us know, and we’ll add them immediately. Thank you.

If you haven’t seen any of MWM’s output before, we recommend you start with Female Supremacy (12:59). It starts with a clip from a decidedly un-PC Two Ronnies sketch, the likes of which the BBC would never make today. The occasional flashes of humour in the videos are welcome. A video on the iniquity of men and women winning the same prize money at Wimbledon starts with, “Game, Set, and Snatch”.

‘I celebrated and didn’t feel embarrassed that there was no father involved’ – Irish mums using donors to complete their families

Our thanks to Sean for this. It’s all about the mothers, as always. The harm being done to her children through not having fathers in their lives, and not even knowing who their fathers are, clearly doesn’t interest or trouble these women in the slightest. Female narcissism at its finest.

Bettina Arndt update

Just received from Tina:

Hi Everybody,

My video this week is an interview with Helen Pluckrose, one of the scholars who pulled off the extraordinary Grievance Studies hoax. Helen, with two other scholars, James Lindsay and Peter Boghossian, wrote 20 fake papers and managed to get them published in high-profile peer-reviewed journals in fields including gender studies, queer studies, and fat studies.

What really interested me in this great coup was not just that it exposed the corruption at the heart of so much of what passes for academic literature today, but it revealed the appalling anti-male bias in the academe and the really dangerous ideas about men being promoted in universities which have found their way into mainstream culture.

The classic was their paper about dog-humping as evidence of a rape culture which was published in the prestigious journal, Gender, Place and Culture. This paper, which was honoured for excellence as one of 12 exemplary pieces in feminist geography, included discussion of whether we could train men the way we train dogs, to prevent rape culture. How frightening that this misandrist rubbish is held up as exemplary scholarship.

In another of Helen’s fake articles, “Rubbing One Out: Defining Metasexual Violence of Objectification Through Non-consensual Masturbation,” she argues that men who masturbate while thinking about a woman without her consent are perpetrators of sexual violence. Just think about the implications of that. In her literature search she had no difficulty finding a wealth of feminist literature to support this notion that an everyday act for many men is proof they are prone to sexual violence.

My interview with Helen reveals many pernicious ideas about men being promoted in our universities which then seep through into our society. I hope you enjoy the interview. Please like it and help me promote it. Unfortunately, the picture of Helen is very blurry due to internet problem at her London home but what she has to say is really important. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wxc9E7Uuws

My Campus Tour

Last week’s talk at UWA was sold-out due to the mighty efforts of my wonderful group of volunteers. But no protesters showed up – a dreadful waste of the $350 the university forced me to pay for extra security guards. (Luckily I had my crowd-funder to cover the costs – it is great that so many people are continuing to support my tour.)

I achieved my main goal of getting publicity about the rape scare campaign into mainstream media. But it was very revealing that some local media made no attempt to allow me to present the true facts about the issue but simply allowing the activists to promote the scare campaign. Look at this interview on Channel 9 – where the activists combine the figures for low-grade harassment (mainly unwanted staring) with sexual assault to inflate the problem. Naturally the reporter just lets this blatant propaganda go unchallenged.

I was delighted to see the left-wing rag Crikey also giving good coverage to my campus tour. But here the reporter actually quotes my figures proving there is no rape crisis but still suggests I am skewing facts and making false claims. Go figure!

We are awaiting news about the Federal Government enquiry into free speech at universities but I imagine politicians will be thinking hard about how this will play in the forthcoming election campaign. Chances are the whole thing will get buried, particularly if Labor wins the election given that many of their politicians have announced there is no problem on our campuses. The National Tertiary Education Union has already declared there’s no free speech crisis and that organisers of controversial events on campus (invariably conservatives) should be required to pay for security.

The next stop in my tour still looks like the ANU – although we have now put that off until May. I will post details of upcoming talks on Facebook and my website.

Cheers, Tina

Regarding Men – episode #7: Feminism, Transgenderism, and Ideology

Enjoy (video, 47:04). Janice Fiamengo’s cat and Tom Golden’s dog make an appearance in this video. No sign of Paul Elam’s rattlesnakes, however, a surprise for any feminists who try to sneak onto his land.

It’s time we MPs started working for all of you, says Philip Davies MP

A piece in the latest Sunday Express. The end of the piece:

Many MPs are obsessed with tick boxes, so-called positive discrimination. They refuse to speak the truth for fear of upsetting minority groups and twist facts to suit the agenda.

Heaven help anyone who challenges this cosy politically correct consensus. I have tried!

Yet most people are fed up with political correctness. Hardly anyone identifies as a feminist. [J4MB emphasis] They just want men and women to be treated fairly and equally. But Parliament makes our laws and so politically correct tentacles spread. These are key issues where Parliament is not representing our views and I haven’t even started on HS2. And we know what many MPs think of voters who do not share their Leftwing or Remain views.

Being out of sync with the public should be of grave concern. For a Parliamentary democracy to work, people have to feel that those in the Commons speak for them.

This isn’t happening and MPs should fear the backlash that will come if this continues.

Oxford Town Hall: Elizabeth Hobson (anti-feminist) debates with Elizabeth Halden (American feminist) – “Can Free Speech End the Sex War?”

Late last night we posted a video (1:33:02) on our YouTube channel of Elizabeth Hobson debating, “”Can Free Speech End the Sex War?”, with Elizabeth Halden, an American feminist, in Oxford Town Hall last Tuesday, 5 March. It’s already attracted some strong comments.

Our thanks to Ewan Jones, who filmed and edited the footage, for giving us permission to post his video on our YouTube channel. On his own channel, it’s here, and it too has attracted strong comments.

Reaction mixed after Tory MP Nick Boles calls Labour backbencher Jess Phillips ‘irresistible’ in tweet

Nick Boles (C, Grantham and Stamford) is gay, a Remainer, and also certifiably insane, based on this. As if Jess Bloody-Phillips isn’t enough of a bloated narcissist already…

Speakers’ Corner, London – where Men’s Rights Activists (MRAs) and other anti-feminists meet. Join us there, Sunday, 24 March.

Rob Lowe, American actor and director, was jogging past us on 10 February, 2019, when he stopped to give us a thumbs-up sign in response to our anti-MGM placards (examples below).

27 January, 2019, left to right:

Nostradormouse, Lynton, Jack, Richard, Rod, Ewan, Big Nose, Mike

Today was an interesting day weather-wise at Speakers’ Corner (sun, wind, rain, hail…), but we had a lot of engagement with passers by. Plenty of people out, despite the cold weather. I’m looking forward to our sixth meeting this year on Sunday, 24 March.

As usually we’ll be meeting at a nearby cafe at 09:30 (if you’re known to us, contact me – mike@j4mb.org.uk – I’ll let you know the address) and we try to get to Speakers Corner by 10:30. We look forward to meeting you, whether it’s your first time there, or not. We record video footage of the MRAs who engage in public speaking, and engage with members of the public, for our forthcoming promotional video of the location.

We’ll again be displaying large placards (see image from our last meeting, above) with the theme “Equal rights for men and women”, which you may recall was a key theme of the 2018 conference. We’ll be handing out the related leaflets, printed on both sides, here and here.

The largest placards (printed both sides) are more than a metre high, and cost about £30 each, but are very impactful and readable from a considerable distance, so…
