The Barely a Bloke Corporation! How 12 different female reporters featured 18 times across three BBC News bulletins in one day.

Our thanks to Ian for this. Shocking. Although, obviously, one can never have enough of Fiona Bruce, despite her wittering on about being a feminist with monotonous regularity, and feigning regret at accepting the “Rear of the Year” award in 2010 – here.

Meet the CEO Who Put His Company on the Line To Stand Up to Gillette’s ‘Toxic Masculinity’ Ad

Article in The Western Journal written by Ilan Srulovicz, the CEO and founder of Egard Watch Company.

“The main feedback was, “This will draw attention away from women’s issues,” “The political climate right now won’t support a film like this,”“Ask yourself why no other company is doing it,” etc.

Gillette responds to controversial advert challenging Toxic Masculinity

An utterly farcical interview for Forbes of Damon Jones, Vice President, Global Communications and Advocacy at Procter and Gamble, by Michelle King, who describes herself as “a leading global gender equality expert, (no, we’ve never heard of her, either) who helps individuals and workplaces put equality into practice.” Then we have this:

I interview a wide range of senior business leaders, experts, celebrities and advocates who are passionate about advancing women at work. I am a keynote speaker, researcher, writer, and host of The Fix podcast. Sign up to my newsletter at michellepking.com/thefix @michpking

So, a self-aggrandising unknown feminist interviews a senior mangina at P&G about the Gillette ad campaign. That was always going to be productive…

American skating champion John Coughlin (33) kills himself a day after he was suspended from sport over abuse allegations

Our thanks to Sean for this. The start of the piece:

Skating champion John Coughlin has reportedly killed himself a day after he was suspended from the sport over abuse allegations.

The US figure-skating champion was mourned by his sister, Angela Laune, on the day his body was found in his father’s home.

She wrote on Facebook: “My wonderful, strong, amazingly compassionate brother John Coughlin took his own life earlier today… I have no words.”

The US Center for SafeSport, an organisation that investigates bullying, and physical and sexual abuse in sports, placed Coughlin, 33, under restricted eligibility in December, without revealing the nature of the accusations against him.

Ewan Jones: The Pillars of Western Civilisation

A video (53:13) recorded at Speakers’ Corner. The video description:

Ewan Jones gives a talk about the five pillars of Western civilisation. They are traditionalism, nationalism, capitalism, the enlightenment and morality. He asserts that if the west is to rise again, we must help restore these five pillars.

I look forward to joining Ewan and others next Sunday, 27 January. We try to meet every other Sunday. Details here. We invite you to join us, the atmosphere is always friendly. Tom, the man who filmed and edited the presentations at the last three annual conferences, will be taking photographs and recording some video footage next Sunday.

Feminism as Narcissistic Personality Disorder

An interesting piece on AVfM.

In 2013 AVfM published my article, Is there a psychological driver behind feminism?. All my 90 AVfM articles are here. The first was published in December 2012, “Fighting feminism – let’s get practical”. The second, “Fighting feminism – let’s get political”, was published in February 2013, and announced the then imminent launch of J4MB. Both articles accessible are here.

‘Drunk’ female trooper in 3am sex assault on male Windsor Castle guard is let off with a reprimand ‘because she’s a woman’

Our thanks to Danuta for this. An extract:

The following day, Tpr Holmes was hauled before senior officers who formally warned her that any further misconduct could result in her immediate dismissal from the Army.

But last night furious colleagues of the male soldier, who cannot be named for legal reasons, accused top brass of leniency because the offender was a woman and the victim was a man.

They claimed that if a male soldier assaulted a woman in the same way, they would be sent immediately to military prison and booted out of the Army. Last year, a private who groped a female officer in a nightclub when both of them were drunk was jailed for nine months by a military court and dismissed.
