IRELAND: Circumcision update

Our thanks to Sean for this. Extracts:

Mr Ogbewe (54), a Nigerian national of Greenlanes, Drogheda, Co Louth, is charged with assault causing harm to the infant at an address in the midlands on a date in December 2015.

Garda Sergeant Paul Carney told Judge John Coughlan that, when charged, Mr Ogbewe replied: “I am sorry I committed such an offence.”

Objecting to bail, Sgt Carney said it was alleged the accused performed the circumcision at the child’s home.

The infant required surgical intervention at Mullingar and Crumlin hospitals, to correct the bleed and receive a blood transfusion…

Mr Flynn [J4MB: Defence barrister] accepted it was a “very sinister alleged offence” and the court would be concerned by the evidence but the accused was in the country 20 years and was prepared to abide by strict bail conditions.

Judge Coughlan refused bail and, granting legal aid, said it was a “unique, very unusual case [J4MB: Nonsense on stilts. Non-medically qualified people carry out MGM on thousands of male minors every year across the UK and Ireland.] and a very serious case”. [J4MB: ALL cases of MGM are “very serious”.]

The court heard the offence carried a maximum potential sentence of five years on conviction and the DPP was considering further serious charges.

The accused has not yet indicated a plea.

IRELAND: Man with no medical training accused of carrying out ‘crude’ circumcision on baby

Our thanks to Sean for this in the Irish Independent. I don’t know about the law in Ireland, but in the UK you could have a history of mental health issues, circumcise male minors (with no ‘medical training’) in a rat-infested barn with a rusty scythe in return for 10 pence, and the “authorities” would take not the slightest interest in your activities, until and unless male minors nearing death – possibly as a result of severe blood loss – started appearing in your local A&E.

The Jess Phillips video which REALLY sticks in the craws of her supporters

My thanks to Dee, a generous donor, for spotting that there’s only one video on our YouTube channel where downvotes exceed upvotes. Most of the videos on the channel get somewhere between no downvotes, and two or three, and receive far more upvotes. But the video (6:38) of Jess Bloody-Phillips we posted in October 2015, of her maiden speech on 28 May 2015, really angered the wimmin who support her. It’s been watched 15,566 times, attracted 381 comments, 222 upvotes, and 271 downvotes. We titled it, accurately with hindsight, “Jess Phillips’s WOEFUL maiden speech, House of Commons”.

I’ve just watched the speech again, for the first time in three years. It’s not just awful, it’s compellingly awful. A gift to anti-feminists, the world over. I recommend it strongly. It’s little wonder the wimmin who support JB-P hated us publicising it.

International Men’s Day debate limited to 30 minutes

We’ve just learned that the International Men’s Day debate this year will be restricted to just 30 minutes, on Friday, 23 November, in the chamber of the House of Commons. It’s taking place despite the government having denied the Business Backbench Committee any time for the debate. Jess Bloody-Phillips is a member of the committee, you may recall her attempt to deny Philip Davies his inaugural IMD debate in 2015 – here (video, 10:34).

The debate will be led by Jeremy Lefroy (C, Stafford), also present will be Penny Mordaunt, Minister for Wimmin and Equalities.

West Midlands Police accused of ‘discriminating against white male officers’

The People and Organisational Development branch of policing (with an annual budget of £17 million) instigated a policy of blocking the promotion of white male officers in order to privilege women and ethnic minorities. The policy has now been paused after being labelled discriminatory by the Police Federation Union.
