Financier’s wife who accused her gynaecologist of forcing himself upon her is slammed as ‘fantasist’ as he is cleared of any wrongdoing

Our thanks to Mike P for this. The gynaecologist is, of course, named, and his picture shown. Extracts:

In one email she sent to Dr Boret, the woman said: ‘I only ever wanted some excitement and a bit of passion. Would not have grown attached or fallen for you.

‘It would have been a bit of fun for both of us. Your career and family life is safe and always will be.’

A second message, sent seven days later, read: ‘I don’t want to hurt you or start making a complaint – I am not a silly little girl that just because nothing can happen with us that I would seek to gain some revenge all it would do is destroy you and me and our families.’

The woman then wrote to him saying: ‘I want to apologise to you, I am terribly embarrassed for coming onto you. I made it all up I realise it was a very serious allegation to make and I am so so sorry. I hope that in time you will forgive me.’…

She, like all patients involved in medical tribunals, was not named at the hearing.

New iPhones are ‘too big for women to hold’: Feminist campaigners slam Apple making devices that ‘affect hand health’. Caroline Criado Perez said iPhone 6 gave her a repetitive strain injury.

Enjoy. Quotes in the article from the usual blithering idiots – Caroline Criado Perez, Jess Phillips MP, Sophie Walker, Sam Smethers.

Philip Davies MP nails it #207. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby sparks outrage by claiming Jesus had the same values as trade unions.

MP Philip Davies has suggested that Welby replaces his dog collar with a Labour rosette
Philip Davies MP, a vanishingly rare voice of sanity in parliament

Just published. An extract:

But Tory MP Philip Davies told him to but (sic) out of politics – or quit the church and join the Labour party properly.

He blasted: “Justin Welby ought to consider removing his dog collar and replacing it with a Labour Party rosette.

Being a left wing Labour Party apologist will in all likelihood be at odds with the majority of the Church of England congregation.

“No wonder church attendances are so poor – another member of the metropolitan Elite establishment out of touch with the silent majority.”

Speakers’ Corner – Sunday, 16 September

We invite you to join us at Speakers’ Corner this coming Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. More feminists have been turning up to argue with the speakers lately, so we’ll try to capture some entertaining footage for our YT channel. Ewan, Rod, and the others, effortlessly make them look like the men-hating plonkers they are. Rod’s evisceration of Laurie Penny in April, filmed and edited by Ewan (check out the comments), is here (video, 7:27).

Natalie Ashworth, 32, mother of two, has 20 previous convictions. Pleads guilty to witness intimidation – threatening to have her neighbour shot – “sobs” in court, then laughs as she walks free

A piece in today’s Times, emphases ours:

A woman who threatened to have her neighbour shot smiled as she walked free from court, minutes after crying in the dock.

Natalie Ashworth, 32, sobbed as she faced sentencing at Minshull Street crown court in Manchester, having admitted witness intimidation. She was given a suspended jail term and was photographed laughing with a friend outside the courthouse.

Ashworth, who has previous convictions for public order offences, threatened David Shepley and said that his mother’s pub would be destroyed unless he dropped assault and criminal damage charges against her, the court was told. Another neighbour heard her shout “drop the charges or I will go to jail or you will get shot”. She also said that she could “not go back to prison” and that “If I get locked up then I have got friends who will rush his house and his mum’s pub will be no more”.

Ashworth, a mother of two from Reddish, Stockport, was given a 12-month jail term suspended for two years by Judge John Potter, who allowed her to sit down while he sentenced her. He told Ashworth: “I can see that you are distressed so please remain seated.” The judge added: “This is a particularly serious matter because people who undermine the justice system in this way normally go to prison. By “people” I mean men, obviously, but you’re a woman, so undermining the justice system in this way – threatening to have your neighbour shot – is totally OK. Don’t feel bad about it, right? We do all we can to not send ladies to prison, especially if they’re Mums. I expect you were the victim of domestic violence or something. Almost all women are.” [J4MB: We’ve added a few words by way of possible explanation for the idiocy of the judge’s words.]

He told her that she was “somebody who offends while on drink and that appears to be the root cause of your offending on many occasions”. [J4MB: Alcohol is a mitigating factor for women, an aggravating factor for men. Gender equality is a fine thing.] She was now living at a refuge centre, he noted, where there had been a “significant change” in her behaviour.

“It seems to me that you are moving away from your problems with alcohol in a safe environment and your offending will be likely reduced,” he said. He also acknowledged her guilty plea.

The court was told that the incidents occurred in June after she fell out with Mr Shepley and that she had beaten him up and smashed his mobile phone. She had 20 previous offences, including for racially aggravated disorder in 2015 and 2016, for which she received a suspended jail term.

Ashworth was banned from contacting Mr Shepley under the terms of a restraining order.

She is due to face trial for the assault and damage charges at a magistrates’ court this week.

Amanda Lotte, 57, drunk mother, drove at 60mph on icy roads ‘to teach son a lesson’. Crashed into a dry stone wall. Suspended sentence.

A piece in today’s Times, emphases ours:

A drunk mother furious with her teenage son for being pulled over by police got behind the wheel to “show him how to drive” before smashing into a wall.

Amanda Lotte, a former camera safety technician for Cumbria police, felt “angry” and let down by her son, Edgar, and was trying to teach him a lesson after he was caught by officers for driving without due care and attention, a court heard.

She had drunk five glasses of wine, putting her over twice the legal limit, when her son returned home at about 10pm on March 3 and was said to have told him: “If you want a race and to recklessly drive I will show you how to recklessly drive.”

That night an amber weather warning was in place for the Beast from the East.

Wearing only a T-shirt and her underwear, Lotte, 57, got behind the wheel of the Vauxhall Astra. Her son sat in the passenger seat. She drove the car at up to 60mph, skidding and sliding on icy single-track roads, and mounted verges and snow drifts before crashing into a dry-stone wall.

Both airbags exploded and half a tonne of stones fell on to the bonnet of the car.

Farmers near by heard the crash and rushed to help but Lotte wouldn’t get out of the car and drove home with a flat tyre.

Lotte, from Great Salkeld, Cumbria, was arrested and taken to the police station, where a blood sample revealed that she had 172mcg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80mcg.

She pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving while over the legal alcohol limit when she appeared at North and West Cumbria magistrates’ court.

Peter Bardsley, prosecuting, recited from Mr Lotte’s account: “She set off very, very quickly. The car was sliding all over the road because of compacted ice. I felt scared because we were sliding about and scared about how she was driving.”

Lotte told police that she had felt let down by her son, was “angry” and was trying to teach him a lesson.

In mitigation, her lawyer, Steve Oldham, referred to her charity work, clear record and support from family and friends. He said that the only thing needed to do was to “build a relationship with her son”.

District Judge Gerald Chalk said: “This was an appalling and shocking piece of driving. The weather conditions at the time were awful and people were advised only to drive if necessary.”

He said that Lotte’s volunteer work showed that she was a woman of good character and he suspended a 60-day prison sentence for 12 months. She was ordered to carry out 80 days of unpaid work and was banned from driving for 20 months.

“Woman” by Ralph Lauren. Hilarious.

Sometimes, when making a cup of coffee or tea, I catch a few minutes of TV. And so it was this morning that I caught an advert (0:30) for a Ralph Lauren fragrance, Woman. 4.6 million views in 14 months. Now I know you shouldn’t look for great profundity in adverts, but this one actually made me burst out laughing, so vacuous and absurd was the soundtrack. Enjoy:

Strength can be a subtle notion.

Balancing power with grace.

Leading with love, and intuition.

I’m the designer of my own dreams.

I am a Woman Above All.
