I’ve just received an email from Peter, with some background to his interesting campaign. I suspect the magazines contribute more to women’s misandry than I’d formerly considered, and I wish him success with the campaign. His email:
Hi Mike,
I’m very impressed with the quality of your blog and the articles. Many thanks for all the work you must be putting into it.
I thought you might be interested in my own little campaign, called “Curb The Chat Mags”. It concerns the women’s “chat magazines” for sale here in the UK, whose headline and articles encourage suspicion and hatred towards men, week after week.
There are several different weekly women’s chat mags available in the UK, including “Chat”, “Take a Break”, “Pick Me Up”, “That’s Life” and “Love It”. These magazines show headlines on their front pages of sexually violent stories of rape, torture and child abuse, all perpetrated by men. They select only stories that portray all women and children as victims and portray men as the monsters.
They teach children to fear and distrust their fathers and brothers. They are displayed on lower shelves of newsagents often right next to the children’s comics. Their graphic front pages headlines treat subjects like child molesters, murder, incest, cannibalism and pedophiles as topics of light entertainment and a means to make money.
They’re heavily promoted as a casual read for women and they’re the most popular weekly women’s magazines sold in the UK.
Anyone can see the website I have built to support and promote the campaign. Please take a look and if there’s anything you can usefully use on your own blog, you have my full permission to do so.

And the associated Facebook page is https://m.facebook.com/CurbTheChatMags for those who want to promote it through social media.
I would be grateful if you could point out any ways in which you think my site might be improved.
Best wishes,
Peter
That’s an interesting perspective on those rags. Without ever reading them , I’ve always regarded them as aimed at the Jeremy Kyle demographic. Which is quite possibly a class issue.

Peter is right to imply this is Misandry 4 Money rather than feMarxism, but the consequences could be the same.
If that money supply could somehow be made to go away, so would the worthless rags and women just might read something a little better for their minds.

I’ve never given these brash, bright mags a moments notice.
I would never have imagined that they could stoop so low, such perverse rubbish parading as casual coffee break reading.
Which normal woman would want to fill her head with such gruesome rubbish?
How damaging to the human soul and psyche to be reading such trash.
Yuck, I’m so shocked.
Glad someone is attempting to do something about it.

Interesting campaign. I agree with it, though I’d point out that these magazines are far worse than lad mags. Lad mags are really just some light casual fun, but these mags are spreading lies and misinformation about men. So I think it’s fine to point out that the feminists banned lad mags so they can’t complain about us banning chat mags but I wouldn’t put them at the same level – I think chat mags should be banned but lad mags should be brought back.

I’d never noticed these magazines before but after visiting Peter’s website, I was totally appalled.
It seems that pictures of topless girls in tabloids are demeaning to women and should be banned.
On the other hand peddling rape-porn which demonizes men, on supermarket shelves where it can be seen (and no doubt bought) by children, is just fine.
This is poisonous. There’s clearly an agenda behind it.

Eh, sounds bad, but do we really want to give the feminists a pretext to close sites like this down? If you can shut a magazine down for promoting gender hatred, why not a blog? I know it’s not an honest comparison, but these are feminists we are talking about here, for whom lying is like breathing.

This blog doesn’t promote gender hatred, is of course a critical point. But yes, you#re right, lying is feminists’ default position.
