  1. LOL! Buy that man a pint!
Emily Davison was such a nut-job that even Emmeline Pankhurst considered her beyond the pale. However that didn’t stop her from cynically exploiting Davison’s death for the suffragette cause and Pankhurst’s totally dishonest sanitized version of her story is what is taught in our schools today.

    • Davison’s death was not, it has long been known, a suicide (or even an action risking suicide). No feminist account I’ve ever read covers the only genuine suicide connected with the incident. The jockey of the King’s horse was deeply traumatised by the event, and later committed suicide, putting his head in a gas oven.

      • there is a channel4 program with clare balding , who I believe is attempting to canonize
davidson or make her out to be some kind of hero.

as far as I am concerned she was just an idiot who chose to hurt an animal( horse) with her behavior.

maybe what that sign should have said it what history doesn’t remember the the ilk of davison and the suffragette were responsible for some male suicide in their white feather campaign and the denial of a vote for working class women( many of whom would be passing through that tube station)

  2. Nice too see some equality going on with who are the butt of official tube jokes. Have only ever spotted anti male ones on my local tube. Naturally I, unlike the feminazis now, did not scream bloody murder when I saw them though. How did they get to adulthood with such thin skins? In a guerrilla war they would be so easy to provoke into ambushes or overreactions.
