From the piece:
Sexist remarks could be punished in France in the same way as driving offences with fines of up to €350 under a plan to curb macho behaviour.
Five MPs commissioned by the centrist government to prepare a bill outlawing male chauvinism in public will call for a new offence of “sexist outrage” in a report later this month.
Elise Fajgeles, one of the MPs, (above) said the offence should be punishable with a Class Four fine, which is €90 (£78) if paid on the spot, €135 if settled within two weeks and €350 after that…
Critics say the scheme will be impossible to implement as men will be fined for sexist outrage only if a police officer witnesses the offence.
“men will be fined for sexist outrage only if a police officer witnesses the offence…” Not so easy for a woman to falsely accuse, then.

This is a direct attack on French culture. One can argue that there is a significant element of puritanism in British & American culture, which feminists have of course exploited. But, the prohibition of flirting and ‘chatting up’ in France would be in direct opposition to French identity. If the French authorities attempt to implement this law with zeal and vigour, then we shall witness a divided society in France akin to the divided Britain of Brexit.

I suspect the long tradition, in all Latin countries, of ignoring the Government or twisting things to suit will stand them in good stead. I remember a stab at women in board rooms quotas in France resulted, in the later research, in wives, girlfriend, mistresses being co-opted onto boards. I wish I’d kept the report as it was unintentionally funny.

Are the French so far behind us in the abolition of the presumption of innocence? Expect this to catch on here; the Yardley Gob cannot sensibly be expected to miss the opportunity to lash the men of Britain with even more punitive measures, and Battie Hattie, she of PIE fame, will certainly latch on.
That aside, I refuse to believe that even a Frenchman would subject the hag faced creature above to any sort of attention, certainly not anything that might constitute a ‘sexist outrage’.
What is a ‘sexist’ outrage. I can conceive of a sexual outrage but not a sexist one, unless of course it actually encompasses something like ‘yes, your bum does look big in that’.

The whole Europe suffers from the gentleman custom. The more men stick to it, the crazier the consequences. Start calling out women on every shortcoming at the workplace for starters, to remedy this ridiculous pampering. Do not think you should stay silent out of politeness to women. It is time to throw all women’s weaknesses in their face, much like women do to men nowadays.Behaving like a gentleman towards women is the worst and most stupid thing a man can possibly do at this point in time.
