More evidence – if more were needed – that a feminist’s use of the term “gender equality” has a very specific meaning, far removed from what the rest of us might understand by it.
Yes in fact I have always felt that the word equality is a weasel word . We all think we know what it means and assume that it equates with fairness. But actually we all have different definitions of it.
Feminist definition – unearned privilege because vagina. Hence their hostility towards trangender women. Fairness itself is, of course, another weasel word.
I’ve read comments in a few articles about this story. Feminists and manginas are screeching that the man who is suing is a “loser” and has “nothing better to do”. Imagine if the genders were reversed and women were banned from a comedy show, these same feminists and manginas would then be screeching about discrimination against women and would be filing lawsuits left and right.
For decades feminists have been trying to eradicate all male-only spaces, but then they don’t see the hypocrisy in female-only spaces, and actually get angry when men complain about female-only spaces. In a perfect world, I would have no problem at all with women-only anything; but if men aren’t allowed to have anything for themselves anymore, then the same should apply to women.
So it should. Men should get over the “loser” gibes and use the Law. A number have successfully done so. The most important recent success being “screening” men calling DV helplines. Others being “women only” swimming (by the way the cultural argument doesn’t stand up because in those cultures men should swim separately too) Free or discounted entry for women, discriminatory seating rules on Airlines, revised payments on divorce for stay at home dads. My point being that these uses of the Equality Act don’t get much publicity and so men (and their Lawyers aren’t clued up enough). Most of the above were in fact successful before even getting to court as the discrimination was so evident once highlighted.
Odds-on favourite, I’d say. Why would any sane man (or woman for that matter) waste his valuable time with a specimen that thinks putting down half the planet’s population is edgy, sharp, or original and probably has this godforsaken vocal fry speech impediment that’s been polluting the atmosphere since Valley Girls invented it and Bill “I never had intercourse…” Clinton popularised it.
