At last, some good news from the BBC. Had she been a man, Patel would have been fired for her scandalous misconduct, and before this evening. An excerpt from the piece:

It is seriously, seriously worrying when the business of UK government might easily be radically improved by taking a man at random and appointing him “Chancellor”. This country’s situation is akin to a drunk staggering along a path on a cliff-edge. Whether we get home eventually or whether we fall into the abyss is not something I would give odds on.
