  1. In his article Peter Hitchins says he’s “still secretly shocked by coarse words”.

This writer, too, generally dislikes ‘coarse words’, but finds himself using such words more and more often these days, especially in relation to the excesses and idiocies of feminism and political correctness.

  2. Today’s women dress in ever more revealing outfits. At the same time they complain ever more of sexual advances by men. A very easy solution would be to cover up more of their bodies, because they know revealing clothes attracts men. My logic tells me they want to lead men on intentionally and secretly enjoy the attention they get. Otherwise they would dress far more modestly. The current philosophy that they don’t want any attention yet spend hours selecting and buying attractive clothing and tons of make up does not hold water. If the current situation continues, they may end up in Hijab one day whether they like it or not.

  3. Living in the North West and working ain the care and health sectors I live in PC circles, or at least left leaning. Almost to my own surprise as yet I have yet to hear a conversation that isn’t about how trivial the whole thing is and how it distracts from the worrying issues people expect Parliament to be focussed on: Brexit, Terrorism, separatism, economics/interest rates, are tower blocks now safe?
It has struck me how different the interests of the Westminster Village/bubble and the rest of the country. People wonder why the one accusation of Rape wasn’t and isn’t reported to the police, what is a “too long” hug and why would you resign for holding knees a decade ago. People have noticed its a sex scandal; with practically no sex; how very British.
