Londoner to be charged with causing FGM in landmark UK prosecution

Our thanks to Ken for this piece in the Evening Standard. An extract:

The Crown Prosecution Service said today: “Following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service the CPS can confirm we have authorised proceedings against a 49-year-old man for two counts contrary to section 1 Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003, and two alternative counts of wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

Another story should be titled, “Hundreds of Londoners not being charged with causing MGM. The criminals openly advertise their ‘service’ online.”

  1. Good grief, there is a female genital mutilation act? Surely that is inherently discriminatory? Oh yes, now I remember. Boys (or parts of them) are disposable.

  2. Given the recent history of ‘The Police’ and the CPS in respect of alleged crimes against women and girls I will not be surprised if this prosecution fails as so many others have done. Another aspect of this case that does not surprise me is that the accused is a man, possibly even a ‘white’ GP, like the last victim of a politically motivated campaign against FGM, rather than one of the thousands of black women who carry out this barbaric procedure in England every year.

    • Thanks for this. According to the article it’s an African man – I assume, but don’t know, a black African man – but your point on gender is well made. The police / CPS should be targeting black women, but won’t. They have no interest in stopping FGM, their motivation is to sustain the lying feminist narrative that men are behind FGM. FGM is almost always performed by women at the behest of women.

Thanks Mike, you’ve shown me that I should have written ‘politically motivated campaign ostensibly against FGM’. The whole thing is an aggressively misandrous fraud disguising yet another attack on men.

      • Probably meant to be an attack on men. However in the meantime it has filled the coffers of the favoured feminist charities. Not least a national training course to all public sector employees (millions of people and Millions of £). I was on it and in it I learned that in fact the perpetrators would be women simply because the relevant African cultures are so “patriarchal” Women’s business is strictly reserved for women.

  3. Well, at least it establishes a principle, biased though it is.

The next step is to apply it equally.

And this is how things are achieved – one step at a time.

    • Dr Balvinder Mehat in Nottingham was arrested on exactly the same charge for MGM (1861 Act). We expect the CPS to prosecute neither the doctor nor the paternal grandparents.

      • I expect you to be right. I can’t imagine the CPS summoning the moral courage to face the Jewish (anti-semitism) and Muslim (Islamophobia) lobbies.

  4. So there are 1000s of breaches of the 1861 act (MGM) against boys each year and no one is prosecuted, and there are mainly women breaching the FGM 2003 Act and none are prosecuted, but one man is alleged to have breached these laws against a girl and they are going to be prosecuted. No political agenda then. No real protection of girls as well as the boys then. The CPS has a lot to answer for..
