Nottinghamshire councillor Jason Zadrozny’s child sex case thrown out

I’ve just had the pleasure of debating sexual harassment with Sue Fish, former Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire Police. We’ll put the piece on our YouTube channel in the next few days. I took the opportunity to raise a matter which was on the news yesterday, a BBC piece is here.

Not long before the general election in 2015, in which Ray Barry and I stood for J4MB in Ashfield and Broxtowe respectively – both constituencies are near Nottingham – Jason Zadrozny, the Lib Dem candidate in Ashfield, was arrested. He’d been a strong contender to take the seat from Gloria De Piero, a Labour MP, shadow Minister for Women and Equalities. From the BBC piece:

Jason Zadrozny, 37, of Sutton Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, faced a total of 24 offences including counts of sexual activity with a male child under 16.

The Crown Prosecution Service said no evidence would be offered against the Nottinghamshire County councillor.

Mr Zadrozny said he was “absolutely delighted” the case was thrown out.

It has taken 30 months for the CPS to admit it has no evidence.

    • Exactly. The Police were the people “investigating” and then charging. Clearly their investigations were not motivated by any concern for justice. At the time it looked pretty political, this confirms it.

  1. 24 offences unfounded. So now, do we look to the accusers for an explanation? Any sort of investigation into that? No, of course not. That CPS chief needs to go!

  2. Note that the BBC article conveniently omits to mention that there will be zero repercussion against the malicious individual who launched false accusations against Mr Zadrozny. Until the Courts routinely require the false accusers to face a reckoning for their despicable crimes, British justice must remain in egregious disrepute.

  3. Repeat after me: “Believe the victims, believe the victims, believe the victims…”

Looks like the new CPS legal training is failing to produce the goods in court. Excellent.

    • Sadly it is producing more cases of men dragged through out long winded system with “mud” sticking. In political trials to keep up stats for the “Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy”.

  4. I’ve set up a regular £25 donation to J4MB today.

Mr. Zadrozny said from the start the allegations against him were politically motivated. He didn’t take men’s rights issues seriously and disparaged Mike in the early stages of the campaign. Maybe Mr. Zadrozny takes men’s rights issues seriously now?

Mike, did BBC Radio Nottingham fit you up with another panel of feminists, an all female studio audience and a vetted set of questions again?

For those unaware, Gloria de Piero was originally selected from an anti-democratic all-women shortlist. At the time of the 2015 election, she was shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, and Ashfield was one of the most marginal seats in Britain and was singled out for a special visit from Harriet Harman’s infamous pink bus.

How strange that de Peiro’s main rival suddenly suffered unfounded allegations of sexual abuse a few weeks before he was due to fight such a marginal seat against one of Britain’s most prominent feminists!

  5. The charge is the punishment as usual. There has to be some way to make the government accountable for this malicious behaviour. They know exactly what they are doing. Horrible malicious people!

    • I hope he does. However culpable the CPS in taking the case to Court it is the Police who “investigate”. Its clear in such cases they simply try to build a case. These was pretty clearly politically motivated and at best the Police were dupes due to their need to meet targets, or worse the officers were attempting to influence a vote.

      • Much of the problem is that ‘The Police’ tends to attract immature, unintelligent, cowardly and emotionally overwound bullies who are inadequately supervised and disciplined and need very little excuse to attack with impunity the meek and vulnerable, which is the average amenable, law-abiding tax paying citizen.

    • ‘ … he says he’s suing the police … ‘

Nominally; in fact he’s suing ‘The Police’ as a corporation rather the police officers who were responsible for the crimes against him. As with the CPS, those pursing ideological or political vendettas, on the flimsiest of grounds where there are any at all, are effectively immune from the consequences since the corporation takes the legal hit and the tax payer the financial.

‘The Police’ and the CPS are long overdue for serious and substantial reform and genuine personal accountability of individuals for their criminal actions must be part of that.
