  1. Paul Elam may not know that Paul Simon Glerum, 33 of Essex, was jailed for 12 months, albeit suspended for two years, provided he jumps through various tedious and humiliating hoops like a trained dog.
    His crime?
Importing a sex doll deemed to be too under age looking, from Hong Kong…

My point being that the law can, and will adapt to serve the interests of it’s political masters.
They are in control of it and can make it say anything thry want.
As proof of this I offer the Orwellian “it is illegal to smoke on these premises” stickers commonly displayed in public premises, like shops.
Or the announcements on railway stations to the effect that “smoking is not allowed” plus “This includes e-cigarettes and vaping”.
    Why?
There is no smoke, no tobacco, no fire, no matches or lighters.
My nearest local station is deserted and bereft of staff, yet still the rule appears to be obeyed, and still the law comes clunking down – because it can, apparently by self policing.
Thus it also can, and will, be made to clunk down on sex robots too.

If you had told me a few years ago that pubs would be legally no smoking areas I would have laughed, saying they’ll never make it stick. Pubs, beer, ciggies and socialising go together yes?
But they did, and we all just meekly obeyed.
I’m pretty miffed about that, and I don’t even smoke.

I’m sorry to predict the same fate will befall sexbots too – I can’t see why not unless the supine public suddenly discovers some principles and the balls to go with them.

Talking of the estimable Paul Elam, let me change the focus of this slightly by observing something that has long puzzed me to the extent that I can no longer not mention it.
    “Elam” is “Male” backwards.
(I’m quick like that you see…)
    A coincidence?
    Could be – I suppose.
