Rather clever really. Virtue signalling, and at the same neatly sidestepping the obvious fact that the daughter of the Prime Minister of Canada will have loads of privileges and opportunities not available to most girls or boys. Just an ideal ideology for the lefty privileged in society to avoid the fact of their own privileged existence.
The sad irony is that in doing this Trudeau is himself a perfect exemplar of “the kind of masculine that is damaging”.
Feminism, he says, is about equality – and it means that while his daughter is perfect and sufficient unto the world exactly as she is, his sons must change because they are inherently bad? All three of those children are heading for significant problems, the daughter because she’ll grow up thinking that she really is a princess, the two boys because the man who ought to have been a role model in their lives, their father, is a rectum of epic proportions.
Couldn’t have said it better myself……Trudeau reminds me of the kind of guy who would happily throw other men under the wheels of a bus if it serves his and women’s interests first.
When his children grow old enough to view the past, and their own father’s words and actions with some objectivity, they will hate him for using them as merely convenient political canon fodder.
And, amounting to child abuse as it does, it’ll serve him right.
