  1. The report jointly produced by CAFCASS and Women’s Aid has provoked a great deal of reaction, and this article is another excellent response. Leaping into bed with WA is either an astonishingly stupid act by CAFCASS or a deliberately raised forefinger at the fathers who represent half of CAFCASS’s clients. Since the report was published it has been revealed that CAFCASS have not, as they have claimed, included FNF or ManKind in their discussions, and the latter, it appears have received no response to emails or other approaches and have been excluded, despite theoretically being “stake-holders”. CAFCASS have abandoned any pretence to integrity. Sadly, the response of FNF is to accept that WA have won the argument, and it is disappointing also to see the Transparency Project, which postures as impartial, defending Women’s Aid’s dishonesty by claiming that everyone in this arena is dishonest with the truth. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end for CAFCASS.

  2. I couldn’t get the comment to stick. I hope Mr. Holbrook is made aware of the ongoing attempts to “tighten up” on the use of allegations to get legal Aid in such family court proceedings. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3435462/Huge-rise-domestic-violence-claims-legal-aid-clampdown-Figures-reveal-assault-allegations-doubled-ministers-axed-funding-divorce-cases.html Following the revelations of a huge increase in allegations once the rules changed the numbers rocketed in some parts of the country.
Clearly as the result of those advising how to secure legal Aid.
