When anger is legitimate

A tip of the hat to Peter Wright, an Australian MRA I was pleased to meet at the recent conference, for this. I’ve left the following comments:

Thanks Peter, an excellent piece to which I’ll link now. I’ve long thought that men need to be MORE angry about the assaults on their human rights, not less. And the people who are responsible for those assaults, mainly but not only senior politicians, need to feel that anger.

‘The Unshackled’ reports on ICMI17

‘The Unshackled’ is a highly-regarded website, a number of their people attended the recent conference. The start of their About Us page:

A new shadow has begun sweeping over the world, trying to hold us down. It’s now turning into an all-out assault on the freedoms we once took for granted with daily impunity

The Red Menace was once defeated, but its back in a new form. And this time, it’s stronger and much more pervasive. Not stronger in terms of military power, but stronger when it comes to infiltrating people’s minds, possessing people’s hearts and breaking their souls.

The Western world, once the great beacon of freedom and liberty, is now facing an apocalyptic revolution. Its enemies go by many names: the progressive left, social justice warriors and the bearers of politician correctness and identity and victim politics. It is set to undermine what our civilization has worked for, from above and below, inside and out.

HuffPo: Women Our Parliament Still Needs You!

A ridiculous piece in Huffpo.

Largely because of Labour’s all-women shortlists which have given us geniuses such as Jess Phillips and Paula Sherriff, 45% of Labour MPs today are wimmin, and Comrade Corbyn will probably meet his target of a minimum of 50% of MPs being female in the 2022 general election. Of course if the figure exceeds 50%, there will be no ‘problem to be addressed’ e.g. by all-men shortlists. This train only ever goes in one direction, female privileging.

When I worked as a consultant for the Conservatives (2006-8) the ratio of men to women applying to be prospective parliamentary candidates (PPCs) was 10:1, and I doubt it’s very different today. The issue of the gender balance among PPCs is, of course, never mentioned by the women seeking 50:50 balance of MPs. By their twisted logic, if the gender ratio among PPCs is 1,000:1, 50% of MPs should still be women. Just think of the number of talented men who must have been cast aside so that idiots like Jess Phillips and Paula Sherriff (and so many others) had the opportunity to become MPs.

Deanha Neely, 32, drug addict of no fixed abode, killed Derek Taylor, 71, with a hammer and axe, then stole £7,500 from his bank account to go on a spending spree. Charged and convicted of manslaughter, rather than murder, because of her ‘loss of control’, just 12 years in jail.

Our thanks to Stu for this. You have to ask, if person A kills person B with a hammer and axe, isn’t ‘a loss of control’ to be taken for granted? I would assume if the genders were reversed, the man would have been charged with. and convicted of, murder – with the far longer prison sentence that would entail. Neely will be 44 at the most when she’s released, with a reasonable expectation of a further 40+ years of life expectancy.
