French gender equality minister Marlène Schiappa: Men should be given €5,000 (£4,400) on the spot fine for sexual harassment (talking to women on their own)

Lunacy in France. An extract:

In the interview, Ms Schiappa suggested that part of the problem was male attitudes. “Men feel it’s acceptable: they’re being ‘the French lover’.”

“It’s that moment when a man is walking behind a woman, talking to her, and the woman can do nothing, because she’s alone. [J4MB: Could she not talk to the man? I know feminists are dumb, but this is ridiculous.]

Ms Schiappa expressed concern that women who were sexually assaulted blamed themselves. Only a large fine would act as a deterrent – a smaller amount would only be seen as “a bit humiliating,” she said.

Of course not only should men not speak to women on their own, their gaze should not fall upon them, unless solicited. In 2013 I suggested a solution to the ‘problem’ of men looking at women – here.

If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

  1. Where have all the good men gone?

Hopefully, when all those repressed female geniuses are finally freed, by men giving them what they want even though they are fighting for and can win their ‘freedom’ for themselves, wimmin will turn their far superior creative skills to developing an intuitive device that tells men, without us risking a draconian fine for ‘rape’ by asking them: “oh no, not you, I don’t fancy you at all; if you talk to me it’s rape but I quite like that chap over there, he can talk to me, and spend his money on me, until I’m bored with him, or decide to take offence, or find a better prospect, but you can’t, go away, cross the road, don’t even think about talking to me’.

    • And in her picture its clear that Ms Schiappa has spend money time and effort in being “attractive” and “sexy” . It is bizarre that women spend so much time and effort almost literally saying “look as me, aren’t I desirable , young and worth looking at” then supposedly wonder why they attract attention. I don’t condone boorish behaviour but it is a bizarre world. Any such idea get jumped upon as “condoning rape” but that just distracts from the obvious; why not save loads of money time and effort and dress as plainly as men do ? Then see if you get noticed. Women endlessly chunter on in the programmes my wife watches about looking “sexy” “young” “attractive”.

      • She seems very keen on self-objectification, judging by the picture. I guess it would be OK if Brad Pitt or Matt Damon walked behind her whispering sweet nothings. Russian oligarchs would also be acceptable, one imagines.
