Despite having French forced into me for nine years at school I was never able to learn much more than un / une [drink of choice] s’il vous plait and merci beaucoup madamoiselle, voulez vous couchez avec moi ce soir? I also leaned from an uncle that while un chapeau is a hat un capeau is a condom. I think that’s all an Englishman needs to get by in France. That aside, I’m pretty sure that ‘allez les filles’ means ‘take one for the team girls and don’t be afraid to make a bloody fool of yourself’.
