Steve Clapcote, Labour candidate who was beaten by Philip Davies in 2015, will stand for seat again

Interesting. Only the Green Party (predictably) have stood down their candidate to give a boost to Sophie ‘Doughnuts’ Walker, leader of the Women’s Equality Party.

  1. Pity Labour didn’t field a woman candidate as that would have them fighting like cats in a sack. People ask why the WEP are standing when they are unlikely to get any seats and furthermore only pick up a handful of votes. The answer given is that it creates publicity for so called women’s equality issues. The irony being that it is in fact men’s equality which desperately needs public attention at any cost.
