Jeweller Elizabeth Hart-Browne, 27, broke down in tears at the Old Bailey today as she was cleared of murdering her violent boyfriend Stephen Rayner.
The mother-of-two stabbed Stephen Rayner, 25, three times with a kitchen knife after drinking at a party on the night of 17 September last year…
Jurors heard she had knifed Mr Rayner twice before [my emphasis] – but acquitted Ms Hart-Browne of murder at the Old Bailey today after deliberating for 14 hours and 55 minutes.
She claimed she had picked up the blade in the course of a violent struggle when they were entwined like a ‘twisted pretzel’ and ‘forgot’ she was holding it when the blows were struck.

…..”She told an officer she had stabbed him, adding: ‘I didn’t mean to do it, I’m so sorry….”
One could be forgiven for thinking she had already begun manipulating the jury by beginning her defence early, and then;
“….when she was arrested for murder she said:
‘I have just killed the man I love.’…. ” (Sob)
Ah – poor little kitten, – “Killed The Man she LOVES” – how awful for her.
She’s suffered enough already, better let her go eh?
