  1. I suspect there are only something like a dozen true Tories in the Tory party, but even that’s probably an overestimate. I just won’t vote for any of the main parties now because they are all fundamentally the same. The Greens, SNP, Tories, Labour and Lib Dems (even UKIP now) all believe in the same things really. Yes, there are some minor differences like the SNP’s desire for faux-independence and UKIP’s unwavering commitment to wanting out of the EU, but if you were to look at their policies overall, they’re much of a muchness.

The trouble is, our system prevents any radical party from getting a foothold. Between FPTP and the biased media, they don’t have a chance. Nigel Farage likes to speak about how remarkable it is that UKIP took 13% of the vote in the GE and won the European election, but then UKIP, despite what the media says, is not radical, unless you call wanting out of the EU radical, which I don’t.

      • I’d agree with you that J4MB are radical. When has a political party in the UK even mentioned male genital mutilation, for example? I’ve never heard any party speak about it other than yours. I wrote an email to UKIP before the last general election asking them to consider opposing MGM in their manifesto, but nobody replied to me.

I don’t imagine we can expect that to change now…
