I do usually love Belinda Brown’s work, but where she says. “God tested Abraham to see if he would put God before his child. God would never be so cruel as to test Isaac’s mum.” I have to ask, really?
If that’s so and ‘god’ is an active misandrist we had better pack up and call it a day. I can only conclude that this is a sign of how ingrained gynocenrtism and its inevitable afterbirth misandry are, when traditionalists on our own side find it difficult to accept that both men and women bleed red.
In fact it was no less cruel of god to test Abraham. Or is it less cruel because we already suffer the question of whether the child is ours in the first place. I/many of us here know that women are not invariably more attached to their children from first hand experience.
