‘Committee chair Maria Miller slapped him down for veering from the remit of the inquiry and Sam Smethers, chief executive of feminist campaign group The Fawcett Society, found herself explaining the meaning of the word ‘important’ to him.
Femsplaining, or should we now say ‘smethering’?
Regardless, what do they mean by ‘found herself explaining’? Was she out for a stroll, looked up and oops, there she was, inadvertently femsplaining, or should that be smethering (no idea how it happened, it wasn’t her, she couldn’t help, it delete as appropriate or circle all that apply)?
Strewth.
