Next year we shall be holding more protests against Male Genital Mutilation, and they will have a bigger impact, leading to more media coverage.
I had a little time to kill in London yesterday, between meetings, and I used it to take some video footage of two Male Genital Mutilators in Stamford Hill. The first was Dr Joseph Spitzer, a leading mohel (Jewish traditional circumciser). The video (3:00) is here. From the description under the video when it was first published on YouTube:

London N16 5JFI worked my way through the clinic’s multi-level high-technology security system, in a scene reminiscent of the film, Mission Impossible.
Dr Spitzer is the Medical Officer of the Initiation Society, and the author of a paper on Jewish circumcision in the UK.
In 2013 he offered – through a piece in The Jewish Chronicle – to circumcise the newborn Prince George.
This clinic is one of a number in the area, where we plan to protest regularly in the future.
On the British Film Institute website, in relation to a Channel 4 programme:
Asks whether it is right to alter the body. Dr Joseph Spitzer is a Mohel who performs circumcision on Jewish boys. He says that circumcision is carried out for one reason only: that God commanded that Abraham and all his male descendants should be circumcised.
At least Spitzer doesn’t go in for any nonsense about there being medical benefits from MGM. As a mohel for over 35 years, he must know as well as anyone that there are medical disbenefits from MGM. And yet he continues to ply his evil trade…

It’s interesting how immediately the ‘Doctor’ went into physical attack mode. Then realised he was on film and knew his actions were not justifiable…or rather that he could not get away with physical assault on this particular occasion. Ironic that…and perhaps he noticed that you are as big as him and that HE might get hurt…
Yes, it says a great deal.
It’s also interesting that the reception area has brightly coloured children’s toys provided to suggest that this is a safe environment for children…

“Don’t worry kids, no one is going to hurt you here!”…when in fact there should be a written warning posted on the waiting room wall:
WARNING/DISCLAIMER:
” Your parents have colluded with staff and management here to physically assault you before you are big enough to know what is happening to you, and before you are strong enough to fight us off.”
The underlying psychological message to the infant boy is this :
“We determine who you are.
We determine what you believe.
We are powerful and will physically scar you to impress our dominance upon you.
You will never be able to forget that we as a ‘religious” organisation deliberately interfered with you in an intimate way by physically modifying your genitals in accordance with our views and position of power.”
Perhaps such a disclaimer could be printed and framed and presented to the ‘clinic’ so that when those boys assaulted here grow up they can at least say that the procedure was clearly explained to them in written form. Obviously they’ll have to learn to read before they will be able to understand that message, but hey, at least those who work here could rest assured in that case knowing that everything was clearly explained before the ugly procedure of cutting through skin took place.
Some people will do anything to gain psychological control over others. And some are prepared to pass their actions off as the will of God. I would have thought that God would not have provided foreskin had He not thought it relevant.
Thankyou for challenging what is in effect psychological and physical bullying of boys whose natural infantile vulnerabilty is too easily exploited.
