I’m about to be interviewed by Jonathan Vernon-Smith on BBC 3 Counties Radio in relation to the Danish Medical Association saying boys shouldn’t be circumcised until they’re old enough to choose for themselves. I invite you to contribute to the phone-in – 03459 455555 – lines will be open until 11:00. Thanks.
Well done Mike. Onwards and upwards!

Argh! Missed it! As a man who was circumcised in adulthood (for medical reasons) I have a distinct viewpoint that often clears up any questions.
Suffice to say, for those now wondering, I am absolutely against child MGM and I urge any adult being advised to cicumcise, to look into every possible alternate before proceeding.

Thanks Douglas. It was a very worthwhile discussion – the phone-in, likewise – and should be published on our YT channel within the next 48 hours. Jonathan Vernon-Smith was on top form, as he’s been twice before on this subject, both on our channel.

Hi Douglas, it may help people if you were to give a bit more information on this perspective?

The position I laid out for antimisandry.com is on a posting intended to explain the issue of MGM for those who have been circumcised (almost always without their informed consent). Considering the feelings of the many men who have had their genitals mutilated is something we should bear in mind as we campaign to stamp out the practice of hacking up male sexuality before a child knows what they will miss. We also need to understand that, to most circumcised men, it is not a big deal as they know no better (something like you not caring much that you are unable to see ultra-violet or infra-red light).
For those who don’t have a foreskin:

Post #9 gives my personal perspective, in response to respondents there. Hopefully, that’s enough, as talking about such personal things does give me some discomfort, which I push aside only to help people better understand.
