“They argue that a victim’s sexual history should not be made available in court”
BUT WE DON’T KNOW THEY ARE VICTIMS! That’s why there’s a trial, to establish guilt of the accused.
I can’t believe we’re even having this debate. It’s absolutely essential that an accuser’s character is analysed. If it’s a virgin nun who has no history of false accusations or getting drunk and being promiscuous, then that makes her claim all the more believable. Extreme example but it’s to make the point.

By all means, make men’s sexual history available.

That already happens, I believe rather more often than women’s sexual history is made available.
