Ms Walker has added another J4MB award to her two existing Lying Feminist of the Month awards, here. It’s presented in recognition of her party deleting and disabling comments and votes on the outrageous video relating to her bid to be voted Mayor of London on 5 May. Happily, an MRA had the good idea of archiving the site before the censorship kicked in…

BBC pledges half of workforce will be women by 2020
Our thanks to Nigel for this. The start of the piece:
Women will make up half of the BBC workforce on screen, on air and in leadership roles by 2020, the corporation has announced.
No mention there of women in technical roles, you’ll notice. Women will be preferenced for the more glamorous and well-paid jobs.
Two years ago AVfM published my article on the BBC being a job creation scheme run by women, for women – here.
The BBC as an organization, and in its output, is set to become ever more anti-male. From time to time we add links to examples of this bias on our Key posts, scroll down to ‘BBC anti-male bias’.
Gender differences in sleep disruption: Women struggle more with tasks on night shifts
Our thanks to Martin for this. We can expect female ‘soldiers’ to be exempted from night missions. If they’re exempted from day missions too, that will be the problem solved. Of course exemption from all duties shouldn’t be used as a misogynistic excuse to pay them any less than proper soldiers.
6oodfella’s thoughts on the London Mayoral election broadcast by The Women’s “Equality” Party
Our thanks to Rod for pointing us to this (23:44). 6oodfella comments in his trademark forthright manner, please don’t listen to the piece if you’re offended by strong language. We’re hoping he’ll be joining us at the London conference.
Paul Elam: The real history of men (Pt.1)
Interesting. I’d recommend anyone with an interest in this topic also read a recent piece by William Collins, The Empathy Gap.
Men and Sheds
Two days ago I was ambling cheerfully through the throbbing metropolis of Bedford, Bedfordshire, when I spotted a literary gem in the window of a charity shop, priced at a very reasonable £1.99. I simply had to buy it. I urge you to buy it, even if the Amazon p&p cost of £2.80 makes it impossible for it to be quite the bargain for you that it was for me.
For those with an interest in gastronomical matters, my adopted home town’s most notable contribution to world cuisine has been the Bedfordshire Clanger.
Lynda Holmes, 70, hit husband Gordon, 78, several times over the head with a hammer. Suspended sentence.
Our thanks to Francis for this. From the article, a statement from Rachel Woods, Lynda Holmes’s defence counsel:
“She had clearly seen the red mist and just lost control of her own senses and behaviour for what was a relatively short period of time.”
Well, that’s all right, then. The time-honoured ‘red mist’ defence, surely encapsulated in the legal system – though I can’t recall having seen it employed in a court case to exonerate a man for striking his female partner over the head several times with a metal hammer, even for ‘a relatively short period of time’.

Enjoy (video, 2:23).
Ched Evans: rape conviction quashed
Our thanks to a number of people for sending us this. An extract:
Announcing the court’s decision, Lady Justice Hallett said the judges heard “fresh evidence” during the appeal hearing on 22 and 23 March. She said: “In summary, we have concluded that we must allow the appeal and that it is in the interests of justice to order a retrial.”
The court quashed Mr Evans’s conviction and declared: “The appellant will be retried on the allegation of rape.”
Scottish Education Secretary Angela Constance bans men from school gates during election campaign
An interesting new piece from HEqual.
