Sargon of Akkad: ‘Why do people hate feminism?’

A link to the YouTube channel of a British vlogger, Sargon of Akkad. Over the past four months he’s posted five pieces in a series addressing the question, ‘Why do people hate feminism?’, and much more besides. I can’t say I agree with all that he says, but he certainly makes a valuable contribution to the war effort.

In July 2014 he posted a critique of one of the discussions on London Live TV, in which I’d appeared not long before – here.

Ghislaine Boddington – Gormless Feminist of the Month

Our thanks to Ray for pointing us to an article published yesterday in the Islington Gazette, which inspired this award. The article is headed with a photograph of Ghislaine Boddington, and refers to her as ‘a leading tech boss’. What are we to make of this? Is Ms Boddington the Chief Executive of Microsoft? IBM? Hewlett Packard? Or at least a board member? Er, no. She’s the Creative Director of body>data>space (no, we haven’t heard of them either).

There are two reasons she’s won the August award, and they’re outlined on her award certificate:

Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division, shies away from controversial MGM debate

An interesting piece published six months ago on the Researching Reform website, even if the ignorance displayed in some of the ensuing comments may make you despair.

We shall be devoting a considerable proportion of our time and resources in the foreseeable future on the bid – with other organizations – to end non-therapeutic genital mutilation of male minors in the UK. We believe it is a highly ‘winnable’ issue, in part because it’s clearly in breach of both UK and EU law.

When – not if – that battle has been won, it will provide a huge boost to ending the many other assaults on the human rights of men and boys, as outlined in our 80-page-long 2015 general election manifesto.

Everyone with an interest in the human rights of men and boys should be deeply concerned about non-therapeutic MGM. We strongly recommend a recent article by William Collins on the matter – here.

Karen Straughan talks about the gender pay gap, gender-typical employment choices, and more… while debunking remarks by Mike Rugnetta, a male feminist.

A new video (48:34) from Karen Straughan (GirlWritesWhat), related in her trademark insightful, nuanced, sometimes agitated (and occasionally hilarious) style. If she published a video every day, I’d watch them all, as would her legions of admirers, both men and women.

I recommend you subscribe to Karen’s awesome YouTube channel. It’s undoubtedly one of the most important sources of information in the MHRM. Karen is a key member of the Honey Badger Brigade. You should subscribe to that website, too.

Honey Badgers are female anti-feminists and/or MRAs, and we greatly admire these strong, courageous women. Why ‘honey badgers’? This should explain. Enjoy the video, it’s a gem.

Hannah Wallen: ‘Male juveniles incarcerated in the United States report high rate of exploitation by female staff while in custody.’

Hannah Wallen’s pieces for A Voice for Men are always well worth reading, and this is up to her customary high standard. The findings in the reports she cites won’t come as a great surprise to anyone who’s read the section on sexual abuse in our 2015 general election manifesto (pp. 31-37).

Hannah’s blog is Breaking the Glasses.
