Why men shouldn’t marry – my talk in Central London, 9 July, 7-10pm

[Note: this is an update of a post first published two weeks ago. It’s being re-published because there are only a few tickets left – a number of people have paid CS MGTOW directly for their tickets – so if you want to go, you should book your ticket(s) as soon as possible. I look forward to meeting you on the night.]

As someone who self-identifies as a MGHOW, I was pleased today to accept an invitation from ‘CS MGTOW’ to speak at a meeting in Central London on the evening of 9 July. A short video in which he reflects on the need for MGTOWs to meet up regularly is here. I wish him well with the project.

Only 30 tickets are on sale for the event, here. I shall be speaking for 30-45 minutes, and there will be a Q&A session afterwards. The provisional title of my talk is:

Why men shouldn’t marry, and the long-term impact of marriage on male wellbeing.

CS MGTOW liked the content of my book The Marriage Delusion: the fraud of the rings? (2009), which I’ll draw on in my talk. I’ll bring along a few copies from the signed and numbered first edition (a hardback) for sale. He also appreciated the content of one of our associated blogs, Men Shouldn’t Marry.

This promises to be an interesting evening, hopefully the first of many for MGTOWs in London and across the UK.

6oodfella on Gender Studies courses

British men paid 72% of the income tax collected in the UK in 2011/12, £68 BILLION – £68,000,000,000 more than British women. Long-suffering men fund 72% of the cost of countless anti-male government initiatives, and 72% of the salaries of the parasitic ‘academics’ on Gender Studies courses.

Few people come close to 6oodfella, a genius from the west of Scotland, in ridiculing idiotic feminists. On reflection, the word ‘idiotic’ was superfluous there. No matter. 6oodfella was the inspired creator of a series of eight pieces on Gender Studies courses – here. If you need any convincing of their worth – and trust me, you shouldn’t – the introductory piece is here. Enjoy.

Patience is a male virtue (video)

We’ve just added Messenger Rising, a British YouTube channel, to our list of recommended websites, on the strength of one fascinating video piece, Patience is a male virtue (8:36), which is quite unlike any we’ve seen before. The channel has the following ‘Description’:

The videos here are for men’s health and wellbeing and to raise awareness of misandry, gynocentrism and the continued discrimination of men of all ages, races and nationalities.

MGTOW is a revolutionary brotherhood and all who take the red pill are welcome here.

This is a male space. Women who comment will be ignored. Continued attention seeking & trolling will get you banned. This channel will not tolerate racism or defamatory remarks about children.

We wish the channel every success. It’s surely healthy that some websites are for men only to communicate with one another.

Sandi Toxic says she was turned down as the original host of ‘Have I Got News For You’ for being a woman.

Groan.

From early in the piece:

Broadcaster Sandi Toksvig has said the BBC refused to make her the original host of Have I Got News For You because she is a woman, it was revealed today.

The 57-year-old comedian said she was asked to audition for the role 25 years ago but despite liking her more management chose Angus Deayton instead because he is a man.

She said: ‘They made two pilots – one with me and one with Angus Deayton. I was told by the producers that they preferred my version, but the channel decided they couldn’t have a woman in charge.’

Firstly, a point about the shoddy journalism at the end of the first paragraph. ‘… it was revealed yesterday’ clearly implies the journalist accepted the veracity of Sandi Toxic’s claims, while ‘… it was claimed’ would have made more sense. Shame on the (male) journalist.

To accept the account of events of Ms Toxic, the person who’s won two ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ awards in the space of just three months, we have to believe:

The BBC went to the cost and effort of making two pilots, despite not being prepared to have a woman present the show.

Her version was preferred by the producers, and they told her so.

Is it not more credible that the BBC made two pilots in good faith, Angus Deayton’s pilot was better, but producers told Ms Toxic they preferred her version, to spare her feelings? Heaven forbid she might be expected to handle the truth… as a 32-year-old at the time.

More and more supporters are telling me they’ve given up on the BBC. They’ve stopped paying the licence fee, and in future they’ll catch what they value of BBC TV output – such as nature documentaries – on iPlayer. It makes sense to me.

The BBC – especially with respect to its news and comedy programmes – has become a feminist-driven embarrassment, with even senior men demanding that producers include token women on comedy panel shows, where they rarely perform well, given so few comediennes excel in that environment. It’s embarrassing to watch the men on the shows laugh hysterically at mildly amusing comments from the women, as if they were comedy gold. Maybe they’re paid a bonus for pretending to be so amused, who knows? But it makes for grim viewing.

It can be instructive to watch old episodes of some panel games on Dave, with all-male panels. The panellists sink or swim on the strength of their abilities, and the result is a damned sight more funny than politically correct gender-balanced panels.

The funniest comedy series on the BBC today is Dad’s Army. The last episode was broadcast in 1977 – 38 years ago.

Survivors UK, and an article by a brainwashed 16-year-old, June Eric-Udorie, for the New Statesman

Our thanks to Claire for alerting us to this. It’s by a New Statesman blogger, June Eric-Udorie (‘Pop culture to politics: musings of a teenager’). Her Cosmopolitan profile is here. It consists of:

I’m June, 16 year old teenage feminist blogger and obsessed with smashing patriarchy. Often found with my nose in a book, talking about vaginas or dancing to Beyonce. Oh, and I’m addicted to Coca-Cola.

Impressive. She also blogs for the Guardian and Huffington Post. The patriarchs are clearly doing a poor job of silencing this young woman. I must raise the matter at the next meeting of the Patriarchy Council.

Her mistresspieces for the Huffington Post include Feminism: Believing in the Power of Vaginas Is Not Something to be Ashamed Of. An extract, displaying her genius in full flow:

I’m a feminist. I’m a very, very proud feminist (this is when you can start judging me). And why shouldn’t I be? Fannies are WAY better. I mean, come on?! We can bring new life into the world and still bounce back into shape. The fact that even men came out of a vagina is saying something about how powerful vaginas actually are. The power of the vagina is why we continue to be oppressed and dominated every day.

Her piece for the New Statesman is titled, ‘A male rape charity has had its funding slashed to zero. Where are all the outraged men?’ The charity is Survivors UK. We linked to the story three weeks ago – here – and made the comment that Boris Johnson, London mayor, should hang his head in shame.

Ms Eric-Udorie writes:

I am outraged and we all should be. Survivors UK run a vital service for men who have been affected by sexual abuse and if it shuts, this will affect countless men in London. But perhaps what makes me angrier is that so few men and men’s rights activists (more commonly known as MRAs online) have condemned this.

What she fails to mention, of course, is that feminists hoover up funding for female victims, leaving nothing for male victims. They are professionals, and they run industries. It’s true for male domestic violence victims, it’s true for male rape victims. In the case of the former, it’s been true for 40+ years.

It’s truly sad to read the output of a brainwashed teenager, as here:

Yes, there are issues that predominantly affect men like homelessness and suicide, but surely it’s a no brainer that both men and women suffer in our patriarchal society – one that prizes masculinity and expects only three things of women: to get married, get fucked and have babies.

She writes:

It seems that if men and MRAs aren’t writing, and let’s be honest, complete bullshit, they are attacking women. Men’s rights activist and founder of Justice for Men and Boys (and the women who love them), Mike Buchanan, has accused the founder of the Everyday Sexism Project, Laura Bates, of lying because she talks about sexism and the disproportionate effects it has on women compared to men. He also gives out “awards” to feminists for “lying”.

No, I didn’t accuse Laura Bates ‘of lying because she talks about sexism… compared to men.’ I accused her of lying (twice) on account of her having demonstrably lied (twice). Bates has never denied the accusations. We give awards to feminists for lying, not for “lying”. (What on earth were the inverted commas supposed to indicate?)

Not one feminist who’s ever won our ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ has ever denied she’d lied. Many were informed in advance of being presented with ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ awards that they could retract their lies, but not one took the opportunity to do so. No feminists’ apologists have ever shown the statements we challenge to be truthful. It really is as black and white as that.

Feminists simply aren’t used to be being exposed publicly as liars – the mainstream media never expose them as such – so they have no defence against our public challenges, other than to misrepresent us (as in the case of Ms Eric-Udorie’s piece.)

Relentless and shameless lying is a thread that runs through feminist narratives. Feminists must recognise they’ve built a house of cards over decades. If just one card is pulled away, the whole edifice might fall. That is why feminists never admit lying, regardless of the weight of evidence that they have.

Caroline Criado-Perez admitted to Philip Schofield on the ITV programme This Morning that she’d won the award because she’d lied. She laughed after admitting this, and shortly afterwards lied again, winning her third award – a video of the 20 minutes of our discussion is here.

An updated list of our ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ award winners is here.
