‘I hope our Downing Street catwalk inspires young girls to go into politics’: Esther McVey says the Cabinet’s new women ministers can be ‘role models’

Give me strength. Esther McVey MP showed an embarrassing amount of leg yesterday in her walk along Downing Street, and now she says it was to inspire women to go into politics – story here.

Margaret Thatcher and Barbara Castle must be turning in their graves at this display of utter vacuousness.

And if Esther McVey’s correct, and it does inspire women to go into politics, would electors want shallow narcissistic women to represent them?

Remind me again – why do we ‘need’ more female MPs?
