  1. I love her sense of entitlement “I think I deserve a right to reply” – to the insults which were in fact a retort to earlier, unprovoked insults made by her. But the thing that I liked the best about this video is the way that the audience simply tramples her sense of entitlement underfoot, jeering at her at telling her, quite rightly that she started it. David Starkey pulled no punches, as per usual and he slew her without mercy. She had absolutely nothing of any substance to reply with her excuses constantly changed and then got gradually more ridiculous to the point of I only asked a ridiculous fee because I thought I was being set up and didn’t really want to speak at the event any way. I can’t imagine someone like her ever denying anyone the opportunity to hear her voice – but now we know that her narcissism is outdone only by her greed.

      • It’s up to you of course, but I wonder whether she’s even worth such a prestigious award. She’s just an immature feminist airhead, typical of those we see these days (Kat Banyard, Caroline Criado-Perez, Laura Bates, Ellie Slee etc.): full of opinions with no foundation, about nothing much of import, and lacking the intellect to back them up or even think them through. Debating with towering intellects like Starkey, Penny looked like your average sixth former: half-full of facts, totally full of attitude, and showing a rather pathetic degree of stupidity for trying to mix it with the big boys. It was good to see her squirming when the audience (women mostly, it seems) saw through her puerile drivel. However, she was not above being rescued by the ‘White Knight’ who rode in and stopped the proceedings before she was totally eviscerated.

  2. I don’t know what the organisers of this event thought that this silly, spoilt little girl could bring to the debate.

Maybe they are blood-sports enthusiasts and thought it would be fun to watch Professor Starkey eviscerate her in public.

    I certainly did!

  3. Note that when the odious Penny is put firmly on the back foot and is incapable of offering a plausible response she resorts to victimhood in a bid to obtain the sympathy of the audience. That’s called ‘damselling’ I believe.
