Women risking breast cancer by ‘always putting ourselves last’, says Liz Hurley

Our thanks to Jeff for this. Extracts:

“Liz Hurley has encouraged women to check themselves for breast cancer – and warned some are not because they “are scared that it’s self-indulgent to spend time on themselves”.

The British actress and model, who has been a global ambassador for the Estee Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign for 30 years, told Sky News’ Jacquie Beltrao the demands of everyday life mean women “always put ourselves last”. [J4MB: We’ve noticed that…]

“We’re doing stuff for kids, for husbands, for mothers, for in-laws. There’s so much that we have to do that we tend to come last,” she said.

More than a third of women in the UK do not take up the first mammogram appointment they are offered…”.

More men die of prostate cancer in the UK than women die of breast cancer, and that’s been the case for a few years. But no men in the UK take up offers of a screening programme appointment for prostate cancer because – scandalously – no such programme exists.

Suspended Labour MP Rachael Maskell says her ‘stomach churned’ when seeing colleagues waving St George’s flags.

Interesting. Extracts from her Wiki page:

“Speaking at a university event, Ms Maskell said: “I personally think we need a little bit of a break from flags right now, and my stomach churned at Labour party conference when everyone got out their St George’s flag… that’s not the Labour party.”

In September 2015, during the European refugee crisis, Maskell called on the UK to open its doors to refugees…

On 5 March 2019, Maskell joined a dozen other Labour MPs on Westminster Bridge, next to the Houses of Parliament, in a protest against Brexit under the banner “Love Socialism Hate Brexit”…

In 2023 Maskell suggested that English local councils should introduce maximum speed limits of 10mph in residential areas…

On 5 November 2024, Maskell tabled an early day motion calling for the introduction of a “Gaza Family Visa Scheme” based on the Ukraine Family Scheme, which would allow those affected by the Gaza war to seek refuge in the UK…”

‘Sweet Caroline’ Mike Buchanan owns feminist Caroline Criado Perez on domestic violence (ITV’s ‘This Morning’, 2015). Video #80 of 800+ videos on the J4MB YouTube channel.

Today’s video is here (4:58). The video appears to no longer be accessible through the ITV website, so our thanks to ‘lambofgod’ for downloading the file and posting it on YouTube in 2017.

When asked (at 3:32) by Philip Schofield, one of the presenters, why she’d received two Lying Feminist of the Month awards, Criado Perez laughed and replied, “Because I lied!”. Predictably, Scholfield didn’t pursue that line of questioning.

Over a period of more than two years we’re posting links to one video daily from the J4MB YouTube channel. The channel includes our media appearances since 2012, 300+ videos of talks and other materials from the International Conferences on Men’s Issues (2014 – ) and other men’s issues conferences we’ve been involved with, and so much more. The individual conference playlists are here.

Our website Campaign for Merit in Business was created in the light of the considerable evidence of a causal link between increasing gender diversity on boards and corporate financial decline. Mike Buchanan, Steve Moxon and Dr Catherine Hakim (the originator of Preference Theory) presented evidence to House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries in 2012, the video of their House of Commons evidence session is here (56:50).

Finally, we run the award-winning website Laughing at Feminists. The comedy channel (170+ videos) is here. Remember, it’s more than important to laugh at feminists, it’s a civic duty.

Transgender woman Ciara Watkin, 21, jailed for deception sex assault

Our thanks to Ann for this. Extracts:

“A transgender woman [J4MB translation: A man.] who lied to a man about being a biological female when she performed sex acts with him has been jailed for 21 months.

Ciara Watkin’s victim said he would not have consented to sexual activity if he had known she was biologically male, Durham Crown Court heard.

Watkin, 21 and from Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, had claimed the man would have realised her status, but jurors found her guilty of sexual assault.

Recorder Peter Makepeace KC said he was “certain” the victim “fully believed from start to finish” that Watkin was a female due to her “lies and deception”.

Watkin, who was born male, had used the name Ciara since childhood but had not undergone any medical treatment or surgery, the earlier trial at Teesside Crown Court had heard…

Watkin and the victim were both 18 when they met on Snapchat, where the defendant used a female cartoon character as a profile picture, before meeting in person and going on to have sexual contact, prosecutor Paul Reid said.

Watkin, who was referred to in court by female pronouns, told the man she was on her period to stop him touching her below the waist, the court heard.”

It’s kicking off in Brighton…

Brighton is currently hosting an event for more than 2,000 angry deplorable women, and a few angry deplorable men. Some of the women believe they are men, some of the men believe they are women. Some of these groups insist the world consider and treat them as belonging to the oppositr sexes, both publicly and privately.

Sales of blue hair dye and nose rings must be at an all-time high in the town.

FiLiA, a charity campaigning for a world free from patriarchy, is organising the event – the Filia Women’s Rights Conference – at the Brighton Conference Centre from today to Sunday, October 12. I know you’ll be disappointed that registration for the event has closed.

A Yahoo piece, Calls for boycott as Europe’s largest feminist conference comes to city, starts with the following, which takes up the remainder of this blog piece:

“Calls have been made by transgender activists to boycott Europe’s largest feminist conference which is taking place in Brighton today.

FiLiA, a charity campaigning for a “world free from patriarchy”, is holding the event at the Brighton Centre for three days, until Sunday (October 12).

More than 2,400 delegates will gather for what the charity describes as “Europe’s biggest grassroots feminist conference”.

But posters campaigning against the event have begun appearing around the city, put up by TLF (Trans Liberation Front) Brighton – a group which says it “fights for trans and LGBTQ+ rights across Sussex”.

The poster claims that FiLia supports “anti trans policies, anti sex work policies, opposing adult content online including in video games” and is “pro police and tough on crime”.

The group also took to social media to rally its members for a three-day protest outside The Brighton Centre.

Small boat migrant Fayaz Khan, 26, found guilty of making threat to kill Nigel Farage

Good news. The jury took over 11 hours to reach a verdict. Obviously not all Farage supporters, but even so! Extracts:

“Mr Khan made 10 attempts to get to Britain and arrived on a small boat on October 31…

He told police officers he came to the UK to get his AK47 facial tattoo removed…

Prosecutor Peter Ratliff added that the threat to kill was “not some off-the-cuff comment” and the video was “sinister and menacing”.

However, defence lawyer Charles Royle described Khan as “remonstrating in his own idiosyncratic, moronic, comedic, eye-catching, attention-seeking way” rather than making a threat to kill in the TikTok video.”
