Pearl on good form (video, 15:09) though she looks tired and – perhaps because of this – she fails to grasp the (male) interviewer’s point about women making the buying decisions in relation to kitchen components.

Quangos in Britain are now responsible for nearly one in every three pounds of Government spending and are among the country’s largest employers, with almost 500,000 people employed.
Funding for these bodies comes primarily from the taxpayer, although they also generate income through fees, charges and levies. Of a total income of £412 billion, £376 billion was provided directly by the Treasury, with the remainder raised from other sources.
In response, Reform UK Deputy Leader Richard Tice MP warned: “British taxpayers are increasingly fed up with the vast sums of public money being poured into this woke madness.
“At a time when the UK economy is under severe strain, this is a gross misuse of hard-earned taxpayers’ cash. Reform UK will scrap diversity, equality and inclusion rules that have lowered standards and reduced economic productivity.”
Mr Tice continued: “We will restore common sense to Great Britain.”

Our website Campaign for Merit in Business was created in the light of the considerable evidence of a causal link between increasing gender diversity on boards and corporate financial decline. Mike Buchanan, Steve Moxon and Dr Catherine Hakim (the originator of Preference Theory) presented evidence to House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries in 2012, the video of their House of Commons evidence session is here (56:50).
Finally, we run the award-winning website Laughing at Feminists. The related comedy channel (170+ videos) is here. Remember, it’s more than important to laugh at feminists, it’s a civic duty.

Earlier today a regular commenter, cp, posted the following in response to that blog piece:
“With all the current publicity over the ‘Assisted Dying’ bill being held up in the House of Lords, there have been several BBC articles where ‘Have Your Say’ (HYS) has been made available.
As a caveat to potential abuses of such a system, I simply linked one of the BBC’s own, historic articles on Jane Barton. [J4MB: The article was published in June 2018, and the same link is in our own article on the scandal.]
This has been sufficient to have me banned from making any further comment on anything on BBC HYS. My direct debit to the BBC licence fee has been duly cancelled.”
I replied to cp, as follows:
“cp, did you include that link in your contribution to HYS?”
He replied:
“I sure did, Mike! The comment, with the embedded link, was taken down within 10 minutes. So I tried again, pointing out that the link was a BBC resource from the public domain. This time, the result was ‘comment removed’ immediately. On the third attempt, I received an e-mail from the BBC, informing me that all of my future comments would be subject to scrutiny.
Since then (about 3 days ago), I’ve commented on a range of topics, dear to my heart, under my moniker ‘Chris Cross’. Always get the same response: ‘We’re just double-checking this comment.’
The process of double-checking must take >3 days, as none have been posted. As this amounts to censorship if you stray from ‘the narrative’, I have decided not to subsidise the BBC any longer.”
Our thanks to cp for bringing this matter to our attention.
