Why is it necessarily a problem that some fields are dominated by men, and some by women? Why is the former a “problem” deemed to be in need of correction (if the field is desirable, not e.g. sewage and waste disposal, construction work, forestry…) but never the latter? (A reminder that the unemployment rate of men has been higher than that of women for many years.) What’s wrong with women, that they need a female-only course? Will they later only feel able to work with female-only crews?

ICMI24 – £3,000 fundraiser for video crew, equipment, travel, accommodation…
Tom Caulfield (aka Anthony Corniche) has video recorded and edited all the ICMI talks since London in 2016, other than the latest one, in India. All the video playlists (including the one for the first ICMI held near Detroit in 2014) are here.
Tom is hoping to go with a colleague, Andy J, another video recording and editing expert, to ICMI24 in Budapest to do the same again, and as with previous events he’s started a fundraiser for related costs (the fundraisers have always met their targets). I’ve just made a modest donation and would ask followers of this blog to make whatever donations they can afford. Thank you.
