International Conferences on Men’s Issues (ICMIs) have been the premier events of the global men’s rights movement since the first was held in Detroit in 2014, hosted by Paul Elam, the creator of A Voice for Men in 2010. No other events compare with the ICMIs in terms of either size or content.

Mike Buchanan has spoken at every ICMI since the first in Detroit in 2014, apart from the event in India in 2023. He organised the 2016 and 2018 conferences at Excel London, the largest conferences and events venue in the capital. He was the key organiser of the online 2020 conference (120 speakers), the interactive online 2021 conference (70+ speakers and 70+ Q&As), and the online 2024 conference.
